  1. Go to inkednation.com. You can search by zip code and see the artist work as well. I know a few artist in Olympia. Stop looking at me
  2. My DZ has a 182 and a 206, so I feel ya a bit. It's trippy sitting right on the edge of that open door! I'm pretty much the same way, get a nice rush when the door opens, then I turn and step out and I'm fine then. Stop looking at me
  3. 17, got married at 19 and still together and going strong 6 years and 2 kids later. Stop looking at me
  4. I have only been skydiving for the last month and as soon as I saw the title and the next line I said no. Hell no! I have broken one wrist twice and the other once, one ankle once and 3 ribs on that was as well. That was from skating. My worst was when I put my car in a ditch backwards at 60. That's only 60mph in a reinforced vehicle. I Spent 2 weeks in the hospital. The human body no mater how you fall could not with stand a 120mph fall.(Unless you were one lucky fuck!) Stop looking at me
  5. Yeah it's Sunday and I have had a few drinks(I'm off Sunday and Monday). Just some questions for all of you, some fun, some serious. 1. How far do you live from your home dz?(2 hours for me) 2. Does it freak you out even a little bit when you are in the first spot and you open then door? 3. What kind of music are you into? 4. Do you wear a belt buckle(Not what came with your belt, you added it to the belt) 5. Married with children?(Not the show, which was awesome!) 6. What kind of hat would you wear? 7. Beer, whiskey, rum, wine, etc.? 8.Do you enjoy going out to the bars?(Another drinking question) 9. How many jumps did you have when you had your first cutaway? 10. Mac or Pc? 11. Smart ass or wise ass? Stop looking at me
  6. I always ignored the 8 hour rule and played it safe and do a 10 hour, no more then 10 hours from when I wake up till I open my first beer. Stop looking at me
  7. I went through my first jump course and did my first two jumps. I wanted to buy beer but my instructor keep talking about this tattoo he has always wanted. I have been a professional tattoo artist for 4 years now. I was thinking of giving him the tattoo for free as a thank you for training me as well as he did(my first jump my lines were twisted and my riser was stuck and I had no fear just right away did what he beat into my head). Do you folks think it's a nice gesture to offer him that free tattoo? I'm also thinking of buying him a few rounds as well! Stop looking at me
  8. We were told during our fjc that it's the pilot who makes the call and when he says get out you get out now, or you will find yourself sitting in the plane with no one flying it! I would never want to be the person sitting in the plane when the pilot already bailed! haha Stop looking at me
  9. Also I don't know how they do it at your drop zone but mine is small enough that when a student who is still on the static line exits the plane no other canopy's are in the air. So for your first 5 jumps you don't have to worry about another canopy near you, just finding the wind direction and getting in a good landing pattern. Then they start bringing you into landing with other canopy's around by having the instructor jump with you. Stop looking at me
  10. It is kind of the same idea as setting up in a 182, just a lot smaller since your forward momentum is a lot less and you are in a much steeper glide then you would be in a plane. I'm hoping that with in the next few jumps I will be able to get off radio instruction all together. Good luck with your aff! I still have at least 3 more static jumps to go, then I will do my 3500 clear and pull, then start going up in my delays before pull. I have awhile before I'm at 10,000ft. Hoping to get there before the start of winter and hoping to get my A early next summer, depending on much winter will keep me grounded. Stop looking at me
  11. I had my class over a week ago but the weather was shit. so Saturday I went up and got to jump twice. Went great and felt great! First landing was on my ass second one was a perfect standing and with almost no radio instruction, he just kept telling me to check my altimeter and do what I was taught. Landing is a lot stepper then I thought it would be, but I didn't have to much of a problem with canopy control. It was amazing sitting in the harness 2500 feet up! Going back up the next Saturday or Sunday that the weather is good! Hoping to get my 3 practice ripcords done in one day and get signed off of static. Stop looking at me
  12. There is a pink house about 3 blocks up from mine. And it's green trim, haha. The city doesn't care what you do here as long as your not selling meth. We were the meth capitol of the world at one point! Stop looking at me
  13. I will do that, going to have to find some before pictures. I'm sure I have some around. I'll look and post some. Stop looking at me
  14. Pretty happy about that. Started in early June and finally have it done! It's an older two story house that was all white with some black trim. Painted it a tan with a dark green trim. Now onto the kitchen! Stop looking at me
  15. There is a house maybe a mile from mine that an entire family was slaughter in back in 2001 I believe. A family bought it and lives there now. I would be interested to find out if they have had any "experiences". A friend of mine owns a house that was passed down to him. It was originally the first Sioux City hospital and insane asylum. Crazy house, 3 floors, a basement that use to be the kitchen and a sub basement that use to be the morgue. Been there many times and have never seen or heard a thing out of the ordinary. I think it's 20 some bedrooms with 2 baths and it's just him. Haha. Stop looking at me
  16. Necromantics work for ya? I'm into all kinds of music. Whatever trips my trigger but I have always end up listening to bands like Necromantics, Backyard Babies and Electric Frankenstein by nights end. Stop looking at me
  17. The first time I had it I loved it! But I was also hungover as shit at the time. The second time it was dry and not good at all. I agree with the hardees little thick burger. Stop looking at me
  18. I have always told people not to touch anything in these newer cars. Might just end up costing you a headache and or a grip of money. P.S. I don't know what the "Super Chip" is but if it has anything to do with the cars cpu then please don't. If it's one of the air intake "tornadoes" I would still say don't waste your money. If it's an older fuel injected car then buy some sea foam and dump it in your fuel tank. It should clear out your injectors/manifold/and cylinders after a full cycle of the tank. Might give you a little better mpg. Stop looking at me
  19. HAHA. Yeah I have read that all over and I hope that I won't totally fuck up the free fall when I get to that point. My main thing right now is landing. Is it anything like landing a plane? When you flare is that kind of like the point you nose up in a plane to reduce speed and touch? And yes I'm sure my instructor will teach me when to flare but as a guy that grew up around planes and has flown I'm just wondering if it's kind of like that. Stop looking at me
  20. Though I am just starting my training I can relate. I have been playing in bands for almost 15 years now and have toured all over the place doing it. When I was in my teens and early 20's it's all I could ever think of doing but that feeling started fading and it just felt boring to me. But all it ever took was to be around my friends at shows and get up on stage in front of 500 people to remember how much I love doing it. One of the reason I wanted to start skydiving asides that is something I have always wanted to do is to have that thrill and rush as well as the community. I no longer do the touring part of the music world so I'm hoping I can find a nice community and another place to call home within skydiving. I also hear they have beer. Stop looking at me
  21. I wish I could go south for the winter! But instead my dumb ass is going to go south in the summer. Stop looking at me
  22. This is very true! I have been working as a tattoo artist for 4 years now and have told customers things just like this. Don't do impulse, wait awhile(I have waited a year on a couple that I have!) and if you still feel it then get it. Stop looking at me
  23. Hello! Name's Brandon, I'm 25 and have been wanting to do this since I was maybe 10 years old and saw a demonstration at a local air show. I'm finally financially stable enough to get it done now. I'm scheduled to start my training in a month and a half at Skydive Adventure in Luverne, Minnesota. I'm going through a static line program. I already know it's something I will be doing for a long time. I hope to have my A by the end of the year or spring of 2010(depending on how the weather goes) and hope to be coming out to see some events next summer! Stop looking at me
