  1. Yeah, I read that on the A-license card check-off list. Is that packing class long? Do they really watch your every move? Some of the greatest accomplishments were done by people too stupid to know they were impossible.
  2. Concur with all Some of the greatest accomplishments were done by people too stupid to know they were impossible.
  3. It's not packing for the first time that's so bad ... it's JUMPING your own pack job for the first time that can really tight up those sphincter muscles ... Haha, that's what I originally meant. I was told that in your packing class that your final pack is the one your jump. Of course this is all rumors and I won't know until it happens. 4. I'm still in student status. On the "verge" of getting my A license. Some of the greatest accomplishments were done by people too stupid to know they were impossible.
  5. It's not that I completely AVOID the packing area, I just believe that many individuals have different perspectives. Some guys might want to focus on their pack job and not be bothered by new guys or anyone at all while others might be totally friendly and be more than happy to show you a few pointers. I guess it's safe to say that I like to watch from a distance to get an "idea" of what's going on and just wait for my actual packing class to become fully knowledgeable of what's at stake. The thought of packing my first parachute is nerve racking for me! Some of the greatest accomplishments were done by people too stupid to know they were impossible.
  6. ...should we be nervous.. Some of the greatest accomplishments were done by people too stupid to know they were impossible.
  7. I'm new to the sport, and it completely blows my mind that people actually step ON YOUR pilot chute or the lines. As a personal choice, I don't go anywhere near the packing area because I feel that I would be interfering or being a nuisance. If I stepped on somebody's lines or pilot chute I would expect them to chew me out for it. Some of the greatest accomplishments were done by people too stupid to know they were impossible.
  8. When I first saw skydiving on the internet (youtube) I remember watching the same videos over and over again and telling myself I wanted to do it so badly. I finally made my first tandem when I was overseas in Guam (I'm Active Duty Navy). Then I wanted to do it again in Hawaii, and eventually San Diego. I remember in Hawaii when I was in the plane I was like "There is no way in hell I could ever jump out of this plane by myself right now. I would be too scared." Not even two months later I was doing AFF courses in CA and I couldn't stop talking about it to friends and (some) family I did 3 tandems overall and it looks like you'll be doing the same thing haha. 9. Hmm, maybe you were a lot more tense throughout the duration of the jump and didn't realize it? When are you going to start your AFF? Some of the greatest accomplishments were done by people too stupid to know they were impossible.

  13. If he had the money for a Mac he could have bought a decent Windows PC Besides Mac is just expensive Linux +1 Mac is VERY expensive. I used to hate Apple/Mac and then I realized that I had numerous IPod's, IPhone's, etc.. in my posession hah! 14. The problem is that it's a Windows. If you had a Mac you would have no such issues. Some of the greatest accomplishments were done by people too stupid to know they were impossible.
  15. Awesome movie, however I hated the ending and felt that it was too abrupt! Also, what was the deal with the baby in the street? That part never happened in the movie... Some of the greatest accomplishments were done by people too stupid to know they were impossible.

    Saw 3D

I thought it was pretty good. There was a few scenes where it you could just tell that it was fake as hell (like the beginning). The movie ended as if they were going to make ANOTHER one but who knows. Some of the greatest accomplishments were done by people too stupid to know they were impossible.

  20. Sorry you weren't around when I was looking for help with the logo. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3918531;page=unread#unread Yeah, I think the society that you've started is awesome and my friend and I want to be a part of it. I think it's possible to come up with a humorous logo that fits the society. If you've already got stickers made though, it might be too late. Some of the greatest accomplishments were done by people too stupid to know they were impossible.
  21. I have to be honest, that logo is awful! If i'm going to free fall naked, or more or less a society, I need a logo that's going to be humorous and something to be proud of. Some of the greatest accomplishments were done by people too stupid to know they were impossible.
  22. Apparently you can't learn in Hawaii anyways if you don't have a B-license You can always do AFF there. I did (started there) That's awesome! I'm in the Navy and I have really thought about getting a rig and just jumping at whatever places I travel to overseas. 24. +1 I definitely agree. I'm obviously new to the sport but I originally just wanted to make that first jump which I did in Guam, USA...then I found myself going to Hawaii, then it was San Diego, and it hasn't stopped since lol. 25. Just from reading your post, it's easy to tell that the adrenaline is what got to you. You are not the first person to have a little trouble breathing because it's a new experience to your body and you are a little unsure what to expect. When I did my first AFF jump, I couldn't find my handle either. My instructor ultimately had to pull it and I was very frustrated. It's actually a lot easier than you think. All of my instructors beat it into my head that "Slow is fast, and fast is slow". This is very true and I use it on a daily basis. You mean when you softly landed with both feet on the ground?
