  1. and you laughed at me when i almost fell off the 182 while rear floating an aff student
  2. just one more six pack then i'll do it
  3. I feel Ya dude...... it's been a month for me. I'm also lucky enough not to be able to draw unemployment. it's that contract labor thing. anybody got food stamps they'll share?
  4. 500 on a 120 loaded at 1.8 to 1, almost every jump on it was with a camera on my head. 2 cutaways due to line twists that loaded the risers unevenly. i think it's one of the best canopies on the market
  5. so what happens if the plane crashes on take off and your unconsious or dead? your student has to try and drag you around to get clear of the a/c. what if it's on fire? just food for thought
  6. i'm down again
  7. hmmmmm it's down again. so depressing
  8. i'm not getting my email.......wazzzup?
  9. that should be printed up and sent out with every camera helmet purchase.
  10. leave the plane just a hair before the tandem, tuck in your wings and arch. if you leave too early, track up at them while on the hill.
  11. Quote/me pokes head around/ Royal Blue, huh? Where do I sign up? Seriously, if there was any way to do this, jumpers would buy it. Just look at what people spend on stainless steel hardware. If the nickel component were as strong (and maybe as smooth to prevent wear) as stainless steel, there would not be much of a downside. Can you imagine a yellow rig with blue hardware or black with red hardware? Those would be tight. But then again I love seeing engine compartments that are nothing braided hose with anodized clamps. Oh and my Fat Boy is slowly have all screw heads capped with anodized blue button tops. So I might be biased
  12. I've watched AFF students do the same thing at pull time. The JM's hold on to keep them from rolling over.Since it's pull time they are not going to correct their body position but keep them from rolling while the bag deploys and the canopy opens. What did they learn while in the air? nothing. They learned what they did wrong in the debrief, the same way a s/l student would.
  13. Your instructor should have observed your body position from exit to pull time and told you why you rolled in his or her debrief. from my experience you probably dropped a shoulder and twisted at the hips when looking and reaching for the ripcord.
  14. He wasn't very current...he just downsized canopies..and it was his first jump at a diferent dropzone. also this dropzone had a much tighter landing area than what he was used to. I use him as an example to newbies that are hot to downsize. yes he lived but that's about it. btw i may be talking out my butt about the downsize part... I heard from some that he was under Ron's Omega and from others that he was under his manta. maybe you can clear that up for me
  15. i agree with freefallin14......go with the "g" or 2000...buy the body then get a 24 or 28 mm wide angle lense. the 28-80 that comes in the kit is usable but it's too long in my opinion.
  16. yup, I've known him since he started jumping. he was here at skydive texas just before xmas. he's getting around pretty good. he started using a candy stripe cain to see where he's going instead of being led around. the only downfall is if he's close you might get your ankles whacked
  17. get a blow switch.....less to break, easy to operate
  18. he was walking pretty damn good just before christmas.
  19. I worked my a$$ off on the pack floor for 3 years to buy all my gear and cameras and get good enough to shoot tandem and aff vid. then i worked my butt off shooting vid to pay for my tandem rating. now i'm happily poor doing it full time. after this season i should be able to save enough to get an aff rating. the moral of the story is if you want it you gotta work for it.
  20. jeeze...... just like rec. ya'll will use any excuse to slam somebody
  21. I have 400 jumps on my cobalt 120 loaded 1.9 to 1. and I love it. nuff said
