  1. If this is a April Fools joke, then congrats you got a lot of people... if it isn't then just leave your truck alone. If you want to learn more about cars, spend that same $400 on a beater and get to work "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  2. Yuengling and Dogfish are obvious though, I can buy those here in Alabama. I'm looking for more obscure stuff. Whoever mentioned Victory Brewing company, do they stock those in regular grocery stores or just specialty stores? I saw lots of distributors around Philly on the website... "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  3. umm... I already love Deschutes, Black Butte is probably my favorite beer of all time... still very hard to get in Alabama without paying an arm and a leg. Although I might be dropping in the area around August
  4. It's a work computer :P of course the video card blows... I turned down the graphics as much as possible, and most modern onboard video is "good enough" since the onboard card is better then the minimum recommendations... We'll see how it goes home where I do have a discrete graphics card. ETA: got it working, I had thought .net 1.1 was already installed as I use this computer for programming... also had to use the forum and download a new gameplay-d.dll to get it to work... http://d3company.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1034 "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  5. Anyone able to get that running? I'm getting a physx-d.dll error... running windows server 2008 with an Athlon 7750 and radeon HD 2400 XT "Damn you Gravity, you win again"

    Topeka it...

Because recently Topeka did an honorary name change to Google, Kansas... so it is pretty funny that Google decided to change their name to Topeka "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  7. Just don't play with your snake in public, or you won't be able to explain what kind it is... Lirpalorophis Vernslooftz "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  8. Is the hole in the back for the hypeye factory molded in, or custom drilled? "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  9. I thought it was pretty clear... anyways they are heading home in the morning so it's kinda quick notice. "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  10. So a couple of my friends are driving up the east coast right now from Alabama to New York City. So I thought I'd take full advantage and have them bring me back some regional beer. Only Problem is I'm not familiar with any :P So whats your advice? Some of my favorites are: Dechute's Black Butte Porter from Oregon Bell's Special Double Cream Stout from Michigan Left Hand's Milk Stout from Colorado Stouts, Porters, and Red Ales are my favorites but I'll try anything if highly recommended... prefereably something they can get at a grocery store near the interstate, anywhere between New York and Alabama. "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  11. Really? I see it as one step below common graffiti... ETA: Often performed by bored kids, with proper guidance and mentoring the skills that they have can be put to great use... "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  12. +10 for Good Vibes "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  13. Just because you don't understand it doesn't make it wrong... It's called the Monty Hall problem. Google it. "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  14. I spoke with Cookie from the Areodyne tent at Fitzgerald. (I know, I told her she's working for the wrong company ) She said they are working on a material "similar" to ZPX for the Smart reserve. So honeycomb weave and smaller pack valume with a different coating to make it possible to squeeze into that freebag "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  15. Hey, I made sure you got your Grey Goose and Cabo back :P "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  16. I'd be pretty damned distracted if I saw a squirrel in freefall "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  17. My car has a permanent travel kit. Hygene products, sleeping bag, tent, and change of clothes never leave my car. I just throw in the container for what ever activity I'm off too. One for skydiving, boating or snowboarding. and One with clothing. ETA: My container from Fitzgerald has yet to be unpacked... when it's time to Skydive Alabama's anniversary next weekend, I'll wash the clothes in that container and pack them right back in "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  18. Like I said... EVERYTHING is always in a box. The only thing that ever gets unpacked is the kitchen. I own a container or bin for most everything else and the rest goes in boxes. Makes moving a lot less of a pain in the ass and I don't spend much time at home anyways. "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  19. I haven't lived in one place for more than a year for the last 6 years... So I never unpack. I pull something out of a box and put it back in the same box. "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  20. I've always thought a skydive took a half hour... and have always felt that the take off was the most dangerous part. I still get nervous when I have to land in the plane "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  21. I've been running my Optima (next model up from the same company) for 2 years and have only ever turned it off for a battery change. I think I'm near halfway thru the third set of batteries. And I only ever turn off my alti-track when I am going on a commercial flight. It's been running just as long and is still on the original battery. "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  22. I'm telling your wife you said that "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  23. You are naming NATIONAL companies... and as for "younger tech generation" I know all about as I am a 24 y/o computer programmer. I can refute your entire argument with one question... What has PROskydiving.com to market skydiving? So far that answer seems to be nothing... Yes, they would get the tandems if PRO doesn't exist. Because the only thing those customers did was Google "skydive *homestate*" and should have gotten *homestate* DZ websites... The only marketing thing that PRO has done is step in-between the DZ and their customers by doing SEO. Now if PRO ever does start a national marketing campaign to promote skydiving (hey, is that what the USPA is for?) Then we can debate the benefits of that. The only other thing I can say is "atleast they aren't lying". Because in my opinion they are stealing... "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
  24. You are correct, more and more PRO seems like an up and up honest business... but that doesn't make them a good business choice for DZs. Others have already pointed out why, for two reasons. 1) Most DZs don't need major marketing programs unless they are competing with other major marketing programs (i.e. Skyride and PRO) Yes that is a direct similarity. Both Skyride and PRO make money by standing between potential customers and local DZs. 2) DZs could use a good online booking system, but only as a background system and not for 15-20% of the sale.
