    ATL is about an hour, but if your flying Southwest you'll have to go to BHM which is about 2 hours. You'll still probably have an easy time finding a ride share from there also. Might be worth looking into, if it saves you a bunch on your plane ticket. "Damn you Gravity, you win again"

    I'll just say I gave my AFF instructor $10 after each jump. I also gave $5 to a coach when I felt they did well. Compared to the amount I was already spending, it wasn't a big deal to me. But really helped forge some lasting friendships. Hell, I even gave the pilot a buck or two for each load I was on for a long time. I don't make a lot of money (E-4 in the military at that time) It's just something I've always done. I was never pressured or expected to tip. (I also brought a case for the beer fridge every weekend from the base liquor store, and in Utah that was highly appreciated ) "Damn you Gravity, you win again"

    That's a third person in my opinion... I know plenty of people show up every so often make a bunch of jumps and then head home before the sun sets. That's who I think of as slow Sam. Obviously this third person (lets say Dedicated Dave) is the best option, but they are very few and far between. I still believe that Freddie is a better candidate than Sam... ETA: I can count the number of weekends I haven't been on a DZ in the last 2 years on one hand. Rain or shine, sometimes I get 10 jumps in a day, others I get a single 2k foot Pop-Hop. Then I spend the rest of the day packing rigs, studying Poynters, or just fetching beers for all the old guys. I teach a S/L first jump course at least twice a month, travel to other dropzones on a regular basis, and could easily hit my 500 mark in May. But I can't get my tandem rating for another year, because the day I did my first jump I fell in love with the sport and immediately continued on to AFF the next week...     Higher capacities for VASTLY cheaper prices... also the new line of canon DSLRs also use SD. Along with 99% of electronics that we use today. SD is just standard. "Damn you Gravity, you win again"
