some stuff is so easy like diabetes, i figure dz's should carry glucose tabs in their first aid kit just incase a diabetic is in need. I supply them at my d.z. as i am a diabetic skydiver who always carries them in my jumpsuit pocket. there is a thread somewhere on here about a tandem instructor with diabetic (type 1) coming back to jump again. Her first jump she carried a can of pop with her for ride to altitude incase her blood sugars got low (as if one can down a pop on jump run...) in comparison to carrying glucose tabs makes way more sense as they dissolve quickly in the mouth. When medical info is known re: passenger a diabetic, tandem instructors could check if they have eaten a meal recent or have glucose tabs in their possession......... i recently was on iv antibiotic treatment as an outpatient- nurses had horrible time with finding good veins (said mine were small and squiggly)...anyway after warming up towels and poking over and over everyday they decided i was dehydrated and told me to drink huge water. What a difference, the next day my veins were very plump and easy to get......... after i've accomplished something i feel is award worthy.... recently: digging up my garden/ ripping up my carpet/ first sleep in my new leather recliner/rocker... As I have type 1 diabetes I very rarely drink more than one beer. I could easily drink a case or two but my blood sugars would just get higher, i would not get drunk and would have to take insulin injections for the high blood sugar or just piss all night long after every beer...dehydrated. I'd rather smoke the b.c. weed. I can drink vodka & gin and actually feel the alcohol affects for some reason? Blood sugars do not get high unless mixed with anything sweet (orange grey goose) 2killya and saki also go down good. SMiles

hmm, i have a tiny house to renovate and having a riot. . part1- got to play with granite tiles, grout...but first had to beef up underneath floor with 2x4's and then lay down cememt board...(got to practise my tiling skills for the bathroom & kitchen reno) part2- yehh, now i've ripped the carpet off my stairs and they are nakid,,,ewwwwhhh, theyv'e been carpeted their whole 23 yrs. and are in shittty condition) part3 is to laminate the top floor of house and enjoying ripping carpet up...underlay worn so layer of dirt under carpet is disgusting... - should i laminate stairs after replacing treads or rip em up and replace with oak stairs sold separate from home depo (there is only 6 stairs and would total $210.) ?????? re: laminate will be oak color on top floor but figure laminated stairs will be slippery???
