  2. I agree... we should just stand by and let all these stupid f*@king middle east countries go to war with (& within) each other until that part of the world is a leveled cesspool run by various rebel factions who will surely eventually all get along, or if not, nuke themselves into a extension of the Mediterranean Sea. And if it happens to spread North... let the rest of Europe deal with it. ETA: As long as there's no US involvement, who gives a shit. *I am not afraid of dying... 3. If one wears dark sun glasses, or goggles.... and they find themselves surprised that the load they just got on will be exiting in dusk/sun set, they surely lack any respectable common sense. *I am not afraid of dying... 11. Then why not the REvolve?? The mouth is 100% unobstructed with the shield up. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.boneheadcomposites.eu/uploaded/images/BH_REvolve_Up_SM.jpg300x300.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.boneheadcomposites.eu/m8/302--the-revolve-helmet.html&usg=__U-7su355od_9rm3RonsNyPX0Pxo=&h=300&w=265&sz=46&hl=en&start=28&zoom=1&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=2j4usozzUvQriM:&tbnh=116&tbnw=102&prev=/images%3Fq%3Drevolve%2Bhelmet%26start%3D20%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26rlz%3D1B3GGGL_en___US359%26ndsp%3D20%26tbs%3Disch:1&ei=TlCATdDCK4a6sQOm3tjdBQ *I am not afraid of dying... 12. Looking at these 2 sentences: >My angle on this is that African countries..... are >economically and intellectually disadvantaged still >today.... >I am reluctant to refer to IQ as a direct factor since I >agree with those that say IQ is not a reliably >accurate measure of human performance. I interpret it as he's saying that it's due to economical and intellectual disadvantage... but that the intellectual disadvantage is not necessarily based on lower IQ but (maybe just MY opinion) based more on a cultural disadvantage. *I am not afraid of dying... 13. The last paragraph in his post pretty clearly stated his "angle" on the matter. ...or are you just incorporating the same argumentative tactics as dreamdancer. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  14. Yep.... Dumbo, Park Slope, Downtown, and parts of Williamsburg to name a few.... I lived in Park Slope area, if you look hard you could still probably get LUCKY. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----

  17. Dumbing down these exams is stupid... literally. I say, give all the applicants the exact same material to study for the exam (all answers could be found in the study material). Give them all as much time as they would like to study for the exam. Those that get >/=70% pass and those that get
  18. Think about it this way... if there were no speed limits any where, half the people on the road would be driving 120 mph every where they went. Endangering the lives of everyone else around them. All I'm saying is that if there were NO rules or regulations we'd probably have a lot more people doing a lot more stupid shit a lot of the time. I should add that I am not in favor of raising the min pull alti.
  19. From most of the incident reports and the more recent video that was also posted... They seem to be more likely due to: -possible panic/fear of cutting away, resulting in fighting the mal to the last second. -inability to properly assess the mal and initiate timely EPs. -inability to maintain alti awareness during mal Just seems less likely that they wouldn't be able to reach or pull EITHER the cutaway or reserve handle. We will likely never know the exact reason for many of these late/no-pulls (of the cutaway or reserve) but my suspicion seems to lean toward panic and inability to take appropriate action due to lack of mental focus/awareness. *I am not afraid of dying... 20. That phantom doesn't look too bad, a bit motocross for me but not bad... I just can't see paying $500 on a helmet (G2, with shipping etc..) when it's all said and done. Would be nice if the OP could demo or at least try some of these helmets on. I got my Z1 on eBay, it was like new and I payed $130. I'm sure one could find similar here in the classifieds for under or around $200. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  21. +1 I hate that shit too. To the OP, I've seen more people driving with their lights off lately not sure why, that pisses me off too and I always flash my lights at them so they realize. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  22. I use a Z1 all-year-round and my next helmet will be another Z1... but between the Revolve and G2... I would go with the Revolve. I have tried the G2 on a couple of times and didn't find it that comfortable, especially compared to the Z1. I also think the Revolve looks nicer and less bulbous than the G2. A buddy of mine just got a G2 and can't even jump it here in CO when its colder because it fogs up too much and he can't see through the visor, I have no problem with my Z1. The vents at the mouth of the G2 look cool but don't seem to be all that great. Like I said I prefer the Z1 over all of them, but I'd probably go with Revolve over the G2. Also not sure if you can open the REvolve with one hand but that is one of the things I like best about the Z1, I know the G2 requires both hands. Ultimately I think they're both pretty nice helmets. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----

  25. 2 great posts from you guys.... I know that a lot of people are passionate about an increased introduction of cameras in the sport and the people jumping them with lower jump numbers. The truth is... this is not going to change and the influx of cameras will continue to increase in the sport. We should try to recognise this and address it appropriately. I don't have the best answer to dealing with it, but I also don't think that just telling people 'you shouldn't do that' is the best answer. The best action is likely education, and while there are some resources out there it lacks to say the least. *I am not afraid of dying...
