TN Skydiving Center.. The BEECH Returns!!
Kopko replied to chaoskitty's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Chris, I think you started on those Crack Margaritas / Rum-aritas a bit early… -
Wow... That takes me back. I also made my first jump at Beaver Valley Skydivers.
-
Hey Chris... Who was the lucky 'Student' ?

How Right You Are ......

She knows who she is ......

Does anyone actually jump with an Observer? If so, opinions ..?

Agree ..... Flew continental and northwest this past weekend from Nashville into Colorado Springs. We carried on two rigs, one in a suitcase and one in a backpack. Absolutely no problems in Nashville. Upon our return flight, I did see a questionable face when it was scanned, however we were already the lucky ones to be chosen by our friends with the FAA. Obviously our rigs were discovered. With quick search expressing no concern and a pleasant, 'have a good flight' we were on our way. don't worry, be polite, and have a good trip

I agree the extra cost, time, etc. is probably not worth it, but you have to agree it would be a pretty damn cool tandem video.
-
Might go well here too. I got to see some vid's from Beezy and was very impressed with the extra footage. Shots missed by a traditional camera guy such as the 'up close' exit and canopy ride only enhanced the students video. It was great to see and hear the tandem student under canopy. I think a mix of the two dubbed together would be the ultimate tandem video.

I will be purchasing a new laptop in the near future and would like to know what others have and are using for editing. As I progress in flying camera I would like to have the necessary equipment. I am interested in the model you prefer, as well as the specs you think are needed for video editing etc… Thanks

Telling your SKYDIVING girlfriend how much she rocks
Kopko replied to GumbyGirl's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Freefly pants and a tanktop, WOW YA, Chicks tend to ROCK -
The last few weeks I have seen one gentleman confined to a wheel at the DZ. I believe he has around 23 tandems and has more scheduled. He is definitely a skydiver and loves to fly.

I have been jumping a pair lately and have no complaints. Skydive AL sells them and a lot of jumpers use them regularly

One thing you definitely do not want to do is become dependent on your Audible altimeter. Safety being #1, the audible is a great idea as a secondary, but I don't believe it should be your only source of altitude. If you dislike the clock looking altimeters, look into the digital. Keeping in mind they also run off batteries. I know a few instances where the jumper turned the altimeter off to save battery life and forgot to turn it on before they exited. My advise would be to stick with the altimeter you have using an audible as a backup, and enjoy.

Well, meridianjumper: You want encouragement, Was there Beer, Ummm Yes Was there friends, Ummmm Yes Was there Kickass music, Ummm Yes Sleeping next to the fridge brings with it consequences. I second the Truck Idea. Get an air mattress and you are good to go.

I have only done one, and I truly enjoyed it . I have to agree; enjoy the flight from above but be aware of where you are in relation to the ground. It is easy to get fixated on the new experiance (lights ect). Know the area before you jump. Pick out some good area indicator lights on the ride up to altitude to use during the flight. And Enjoy

No complaints here
