  1. I have grown up on a Cessna DZ, so I really could care less about whether there is a turbine here. The staff is incredibly friendly, proficient, and professional and do not care whether you have high jump numbers or are newly licensed (like me). The briefings are positive, but thorough, and the pilots really like flying. I jumped in both October and November and have never seen such a view from under canopy. The DZO was one of my AFF instructors and he is a very thorough, positive, and creative teacher. Coaching and packing services are available, too. If you like a laid back and peaceful place to jump, you need to check this place out!
  2. I'm a Special Olympics Coach and have done the SOVA Polar Plunge 5 times. Will be missing it this year, much to my dismay. Good luck with the fundraising! Hope it's nice and cold for you!!

    Hey!!

Ken, is that you? HAHA!! We did our Cat B on the same day...10/12, I believe. Glad to hear all is well. I plan to try and get back up that way when the weather improves.

    Hey!!

Yea, the weather has sucked since September. It took about a month to get my Cat A tandem and Cat B dive. I live in BFE, so the commute was just driving me crazy. As a teacher and coach, it was getting to be too much and I'm in a holding pattern and will come up with a different plan. Weather trumps all plans...Skydiving Rule #1, huh? Have a great holiday weekend!!

    Hey!!

Hello from VA!! I guess I would be considered a "student in limbo." I've had a good time reading on the forum and will continue to do so. Enjoy the season!!
