Any idea on why Collegiate Nationals is so expensive this year at Skydive AZ? I did some math and if someone were to enter all events except for accuracy, the cost is about $37 per jump. What the hell!! That's not even adding in the registration fee, which is another $150.
I know they have to pay for judges, video slots, and a few other things, but really? How can they do that when their boogie, which is going on that same week, has tickets for $19.50. I tried to contact Skydive AZ with no results.
Not a whole lot of teams, aside from the military and about 4 to 5 schools with well established clubs, will be able to afford it. That's nothing compared to the thousands of college jumpers out there.
Spaceland was way cheaper last year. Sounds like a rip off to me.
