I'm getting the pins out after almost 7 weeks.. they are a pain as they actually bulge the skin. The screws are comming out too after a while but the plate will probably stay unless it gives me trouble. cheers I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

Haven't posted here in a while.. But I broke my foot in a non skydiving injury. The break is called Lis franc. Basically, I broke all the metatarsals (on the top of my foot) all the way accross. I wonder if anyone here has had to deal with anything like this and how their healing process and recovery went. I have 2 pins, 4 screws just over 2 inches long, and a "T" shaped plate with a bunch of tiny screws in it. My break was about 5 weeks ago and everything seems to be healing well.. I'm in the boot but I'm not supposed to put weight on it. I'd just like to relate to someone about this shit.. because I'm a really active person wont except a lifestyle change. Any foot breaks with pins and screws out there? I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

I jump at a cessna dropzone But the dzo likes to do coach jumps there(no charge). when he does though, he's actually paying to jump because of the fuel, pilot and space in the little plane. I have so much respect for that man I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky -
My sister has to work @ the DZ so I must be there to support her. Yeah, that's what I told my folks I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

please explain...... I've never heard of that I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

I'd rather not interupt their day with simple information that is readily available to me here from other dzo's, pilots, and experienced jumpers. *Disclaimer- I do, however, talk to my dzo and s&ta about safety, gear and air skills and value their advice and opinions. Instead of "years in sport", have "year started"

although you have more than 100 times my jump #s, I have to ask the question, Is Military jumping actually "in the sport"? How about someone who did military static line jumps in 1984, was discharged, but then never took up the sport until 1994? I guess that it's a really small point if any. The jump#'s are really what I look at. The years in the sport only give me more of a round perspective of someones experience. 15 yrs to 20 yrs seems like the same thing to me. I think that a location in the mini profile would be great! And much apreciated by all. I'm always looking at profiles to see where someone is posting from... But then again, How much info can there be in those mini profiles before the regular profiles are obsolete? The Mini profiles seem to me like necessary information in judging ones credibility when reading their post. A location has almost nothing to do with credibility issues. Discipline of Choice in Mini Profile

What about all of those people who put their "interests" in the diciplines of choice? Those who actually have no experience in, say, Base or camera flying. That seems like a common mistake to me. I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky
