  1. Thanks everybody for all the good ideas and the links. :)
  2. My home DZ is working on a post A license class for new jumpers. Are there any topics you wish someone had talked to you about after you just got your license? Looking for ideas. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for the help everyone!
  4. I'm trying to figure out which audible altimeter to buy and I have a Mac computer. Pro track works only with PC but it can be used with Paralog, but I would still have to buy the Jumptrack software just to get the cable right? Is the Neptune the same way? I know there has to be other Mac users out there. What do you suggest?
  5. Awesome. I can completely sympathize with you. I don't make much money and right I only seem to be able to go once every few weeks. I just keep going when I can and as it gets cheaper I'll be able to go more. Probably not the best sport to take up when you don't have a lot of extra cash, but it makes me too happy not to go. I originally thought I'd only go once, but as we all know, that's not possible.
  6. Awesome. I did my first jump after my 35th birthday last year. Now I'm working my way through the AFF program. If you can get video of your first jump. I think it's worth it. Be ready to rearrange your schedule every time there's a beautiful day. Have fun!
  7. It does sound like we have a lot in common. I love this sport and I get so excited every time I get to go jump. When i was a kid and on a plane I used to want to reach out and touch the clouds, now I get to do just that, it's wonderful. I do enjoy working in veterinary field. i work as a surgical nurse in specialty practice although i have decided to go back to school to work as radiology tech for people. New starts all around I guess. It's funny I always say vets and pediatricians are the best doctors because they can't ask their patient "What's wrong?" So I laughed when I saw your statement. Good luck this weekend.
  8. Thank you. Im looking forward to all the adventures that will come my way. I'd love to go to some of the boogies and only time will tell. How do I find out about when they are?
  9. Hi there I'm new to skydiving and currently in my AFF program. I have completed 8 jumps so far and go every chance I can get out there. (Providing my bank account agrees with me). I decided to go on my first jump after my 35th birthday, and I'm sad i didn't try this before. I love it! I can't imagine a better feeling than touching the sky up close. I'm hoping I will have many years of this sport to come. The people I have met so far have been wonderful. I'm looking forward to being able to travel to drop zones and seeing the world from 13,000 feet.
