It is genuine. It's run through the Google Ad program if I remember correctly. There is a guy I work with that does a lot of hunting / fishing / outdoor type videos that usually get 500k plus hits. Last year he made almost $20k in ad revenue from that program.

Tell them to get lost and go have fun. Exactly. I have always gone by the old saying that "You don't stop having fun when you get older, you get older when you stop having fun." I waited until my mid-late 30s to start skydiving, racing cars, getting my pilots license etc, but mostly because it took until then to have a job that paid well enough for me to really start enjoying life. Like someone above said, if you are taking care of the other aspects of your life, then go have fun. The haters are just jealous because they aren't doing the same...

About 15 minutes for me, and it's half way between home and work. Makes it hard to pass up on Fridays.

Out of curiosity, what is a rough estimate on the cost to build one?

Cool - now the druggies have home made tanks ....

Might make a good storm chasing vehicle.. -
Here's the cockpit view of that pass: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=cc5_1307433924

We had a guy from our DZ propose to his girlfriend a few weeks ago by having a "will you marry me?" message stitched to her slider.

Number one pulled them low, but slot was WAY low. Supposedly he is the one that made the "knock it off" call.

Yeah, but it is a looooong way from West Texas to any decent sized body of water.

I secretly wish they would ditch the -130 for a C-27J Spartan. The only aerobatic transport aircraft in the world. I wonder if an inverted jump run would be possible? http://www.vimeo.com/20693691

So... now it's just a big, blue -130? That's about it. Here's a good onboard vid from a non RATO demo in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9h_pD9wC_k&feature=related

Would be way cooler if it involved some of the rockets from the RATO No more RATO. They depleted the last of the stored rockets in 2009. I was lucky enough to see the next to the last RATO shot they did at Reno that year.

Not just one jet. Number one almost lead the entire 4 ship right into the ground. There was also an incident the weekend prior that involved a Fat Albert C-130 crew member, a Corvette, the runway, and a lot of alcohol......

The Snake Pit still exists, but the speedway tried to commercialize it. You now have to be over 21 and have a special ticket to get in that area. It's sort of become the place to be if you want to avoid the real party.
-
Our seats are on the infield side behind the pits. We fully intend to take in the race and the infield party scene.

If it keeps raining the way it has been there, it will be in a swamp....

Making my first trip to the race this year. Anyone else on here going?

"Out like the fat kid in dodge ball" "How about you go play hide and go fvck yourself. "Give me that before I hurt yourself with it"

Definitely taking flash mobs in the right direction...
MX304 replied to FlyingJ's topic in The Bonfire
That can't be a flash mob. Not one of them took their top completely off.... -
It looks like they only gave him a temporary AW cert. though. http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Results.aspx?NNumbertxt=15YR&x=18&y=15

New great news from Yves "Jetman" Rossy - Aerobatics
MX304 replied to piisfish's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I'm glad he got it worked out with the FAA / FSDO. I wish I could have been there to see it. -
I'm dealing with that now. I fully agree with everyone who has said to stay out of it. I have distanced myself from the situation and will deal with it down the road. It's not an easy thing...

New great news from Yves "Jetman" Rossy - Aerobatics
MX304 replied to piisfish's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Not sure what the issue was. I know the person that was sent by the FAA as an observer, and he was surprised too. I have a feeling that FSDO office is going to have some explaining to do. -

Canceled at the last minute. The FAA originally gave the ok, then the local FSDO pulled the plug.
