  1. You would of hoped so but it seems not http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-15521221 http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/...ourt-86908-23529702/
  2. Because it's cheaper than AFF, especially if you have to repeat a level. And it's widely available I suppose. Really? Minor malfunction as in line-twists etc? I was told line-twists in static line were due to prop wash spinning the D- bag (not just body position) and to expect them on every jump. Is there any info on minor malfunction rates, comparisons etc? max
  3. I had the exact same thing first jump I did static line too. The first one was the most scared I have ever been in my whole life. It was not until I was under a full canopy looking at 3 line twist's that my mind accepted that I hadn't just killed myself! counting went out of the window! Untwisted the lines, control check and uneventfull stand up landing
  4. Try using Firefox instead of Safari or IE, It's much faster. Safari is just aweful IMO. I don't use iPhoto so can't help you on that one
  5. He broke both ankles I believe and took some time out due to that jump, max
  6. Here's what you should do.... If your really getting bored with it. Quit jumping and use the money you save from jump tickets and gear to fund my AFF course Seeing me learn to skydive will give you an overwhelming sense of joy, you know it makes sense! max
  7. Couldn't agree more with you - If somebody wants to harm another, they can do it anyway, regardless of weather they have a gun or not. Gun control has never made any sense to me at all. we have had knife amnistys aswell in this counrty - what about rocks? Or the bare hands? It all steams from humans beleaving they are something differnet, somehting special. This could set me off on a load fo things here - land ownership - law - religion - none of it makes any sense to me. I'll stop here though - I don't think she should get five years, but tbh she proberbly won't becuse all the prisions are pritty much full
  8. This is very common in the UK (the Gun not the conviction) After the war it was near imposible to keep tabs on all service weapons, and many people simply took them home! My Grandfather also keept the same pistol, But has since buried it on his farm somewhere. He also kept some amunition which are on my mantle now, Ive got some 45 shells and some german one's aswell. The funny thing is he never handed the pistol over to the authoritys for fear of reptrebution, (as I with the ammo). It say's alot about the legal system doesn't it....
  9. Just watch this video, http://www.allezbase.com/videos/Ready_To_Go.wmv and the others on http://www.allezbase.com enough said.....

    B.A.S.E. game

Yeah totally, just like how Tony Hawks turns you into a pro skater..... Landing? Yeah just pick the right gear, do the training missions, land into the wind, and flare your canopy at about 15-20 meters. max
  11. New wingsuit Simulation in development, & Open source B.A.S.E game (formally d3), Have a look, or don't if your not into that kinda thing http://www.flokas.de/baseforum/index.php gracias
  12. Hello, Nice one guy's, Im in south east (Hasting) My nearest Dropzone would be Headcorn, or ones near London. End of summer next year I will be in madrid so I was considering going to Skydive Lillo? Allthough Id would rather support UK dropzones, Ive heard bad things about headcorn - (Deadcorn e.t.c) ethier way Ive got to save some money up! max
  13. To be honest - I am aware of the injury rates, I may not yet skydive. I have been skateboarding for 5 years or so, And I can name 8+ good friends that have broken an arm or ankle at least once, and surprisingly there is a few skaters who have died from head impacting into concrete. But yes, skydiving is quite dangerous and you should obviously be aware of the risk. I don't think anyone is trying to say it's easy or safe, But in my mind whats fun about something thats easy or safe (bungee jumping excluded ) But I still want to do it ASAP
  14. Awesome, Id just like to say thanks to everyone on this forum. I have been reading many post's all over the boards for while now, And have found a ton of usefull info and FAQ's.
