I'm not buying everything new(that would be foolish), just a container. Eventhough, used rigs are readily available here on the classifieds I have only found a few rigs that will fit me. And the few that I have seen are either old or too bright. Getting the proper fit and correct size container will make my experience more enjoyable and using a rig i designed in detail will be gratifying. "Travel in the direction of your fears"

I think it's great question you brought up! I inquired about ordering a new container at my dz and was told it had to be paid in full the day i order it. How about placing an order with a deposit and an agreement to pay balance in full prior to receiving delivery. Estimated shipping for vectors are 20 weeks anyway! Agreed! eventhough I did'nt jump yesterday it was fun just getting out of the city and hanging out with some cool folks. Expensive? YES! but I guess it depend's on how much money you got to spend. "Travel in the direction of your fears"

Finally took the Gound Course. Took a while due to schedule conflicts. A couple of days later I took a day off for jump number 4 and did'nt get to jump because it was too "Bumpy"(sucks). Next time I go up i will have more than 30 days since my last tandem..and its been almost 2 months since i started on this mission. Anyone else had/have a hard time? Now that you are more experienced..... What would you have changed or done differently towards your gear purchases if you could do it again? eg. New/Used?Container Size?...Any options you wish you had/don't need? "Travel in the direction of your fears"
