  1. My dad gave me advice when I complained to him once about my ex wife. Son- Life's a bitch, then you marry one or maybe two, then you pay taxes and you die. He is in his second marriage for close to 20 years now. Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker

  3. You might have missed the part about the 30 amp fuses being in adapters. No, I got it. They seem to be permanant since the parts can't be readily found. Also unitl she posted that it wasn't original one has to assume that 30 amp was original to the circuit. Did you have advice or just trying to point out a discrepancy? Just curious Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
  4. Wow. I can't help but think what would happen if the pin was pulled on accident. 4 inches wide, holy shit! Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
  5. How you figure? Oh Johnny, Nicole wanted me to ask you if you have figured it out yet, Pants up or down? Hahaha Pants stay up this year. Unless I feel the urge for a good Donkey-Dance. I'm not scared, I eat pie for breakfast! You might get pied just for saying you're exempt. We'll see about the pants. I bet if bushwackers have anything to do with it they will be half mast. 6. It's not a good idea to use 15 amp fuses where 30 amp already resides, that is why they don't fit. I'm not familiar with the circuit so I can't give much advice except that you need to have a professional look at it and decide if the circuit is safe with 15 amp fuses. Also, they may blow all the time if the circuit is more than 15 amp hence why it is 30 amp fuse now. 7. I remember it. edited to add- it was cadbury eggs not M&M's. I think? Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
  8. You can't pie me, you already pied me at Dublin! I definitely won't be at 200 by then... BUT I think we should play by your rules since we're invading your DZ. That means Damien isn't exempt for 500. And I know someone who just hit 700 but hasn't been pied for it. Or do you only pie for jump numbers accomplished at the boogie? Oh if we are playing by our rules then the 700th would so be pieable! We love pies! And Bolas, ummm, well... maybe 300 isn't piable! That's it! 300 is definitely not piable! Yeah! Maybe we should just starting pieing for saying the word. Oh and remember if you get pied try and grab and hug as many people as you can that participated in the pieing. Females are eligable for pie squared. Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker

That means Damien isn't exempt for 500. And I know someone who just hit 700 but hasn't been pied for it. Or do you only pie for jump numbers accomplished at the boogie? You can only be pied once. If I make my 500th and get pied before I get there, then no pie at the Flora-Bama for me. Edited to add- It isn't retro either (unless you are native to that DZ) so no pie for 2, 3, or 400 for me. Everyone WARNING they hold you accountable for each and every little F word. I think I eneded up buying 2 or 3 cases of beer the prior to second year I was there. 10. Pieing continues every 1000 after the first 1000. First are exempt after reaching 1000. Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
  11. Great idea, they have to supply that when they register anyway since MD has a B and 100 requirment for the beach. Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
  12. Yes the jump numbers are correct and yes it is possible. I still remember and am scared from the 100 jump number pie a couple of years ago. So I may have already hit 500 by the time the beach boogie comes around. Who knows? Did I hear my name??? Mmmm, Do I smell a pie??? I remember your 100th pie! That was a good one! We have had some pretty good pies over the history of the boogie! I liked the abush last year! Hehehe Johnny, help keep me posted on any other piable people! We can just covertly look in peoples log books and find out. 13. I don't think there is an actual requirement... (you don't have you're SIM handy huh... What about this one... I know Chris requires at least a B license at the dublin boogie and recommends above average canopy skills... I have a good bit of experience with this. There are no requirements for jumping a balloon except for what the pilot can enforce. A hot Air Balloon is an aircraft with an N number and the same fARs concerning skydiving from aircraft apply. BSR's can only be enforced with group members launching balloons from DZ member facilities or dropping skydivers over the DZ, because they are part of DZ operations. (good luck on the later). If a jumper exists and lands off the DZ third party liability will not cover damage. A DZO may impose requirements for liability or safety concerns as a local policy. When a balloon is not part of DZ operations no BSRs can not be enforced as they are recommendations and requirements imposed by the FAA. An A license canidate is cleared to jump master themselves and can exit a Balloon. I don't recommended this because of the lack of experience pertaining to off DZ landings that is about a 99.9% chance of happening. But that is all. When cleared to jumpmaster themselves, new jumpers know how to pull, pull at the right altitude and pull stable, so exits and opening aren't the problem it's the set up for the landings and avoiding obstacles. Common sense should be used. Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker

  15. That's because there is no link to get there. And there appears to be little interest in fixing it. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2139320#2139320 The suggestion was posted almost a month ago... Last week it worked fine when the link was posted. Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
