  1. The arms race treaty with Russia allows flybys of satalites so that photo's can be taken. Area 51 knows when these happen of course so they just hide everything when they do fly over to take photo's. Besides lots of the photo's on google earth are old. I looked up the big easy after katrina, and the city looked intact to me. HOW?

No she's not a CRW person, but she is on the CRW email list, she took it upon herself to ask to be added with out asking how I would feel about it. My friends understimated her kindness and told her how to get on the list. this is what I mean by deep in my life. I probally can't fart with out her knowing about it because she knows everyone I know, can communicate on every meduim I can, and has some of my very close friends phone numbers. I have told my friend what has happened but they still think that she is this kind person and I'm just upset that things didn't work out. There is alot more to it than that...Keep in mind that I don't miss her at all. but it would have been better if things didn't happen the way they did. Now I'm just trying to manage fallout and get my situation back in order. It is almost there. but the last thing is getting her out of my life. very very difficult. You're right we don't own each other, thank god I plan on acting as if she isn't even there. unless she speaks to me. then I won't know how I feel about when she does. I guess I could fall back on being a former Marine and just give yes and no, and other short answers, or avoid it by saying I have to go over here I'll be back and just don't come back. edited for PA~Skymama Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker

    HOW?

I'm sure someone has dealt with this before, maybe I can get a view on they handled it. Scenario, You are a guy at a boogie and a sky chick shows interest in you. You both really like each other, but it has to be long distance. You (the guy) have wanted to move to the state she lived in for a while, but now that you have met her you make things happen, after several months of planning you move. The plan is that you move in with her for a couple of weeks so you can find a place, get settled at your new job and such. There were small disagreements about some things toward the actual move date, but they (as far as you know) were solved. Four days later after you drive down to be with her and start to get things tranistioned, there is a simple dissagrement over something very silly but she gets angry and accuses you of not treating her right and kicks you out with no where to go. So, after you have made an effort to be with her and disrupted your life she just disrupted it even more. Not only that but the whole time you were getting along she got deep into your life and remains there after you split up. You are not deep in her life, because you are in a new state you never got introduced to anyone she knows, ect. Except that you will probally run in to her a the DZ since you live in the area she does now. how do you handle the situation? There s lots lots more to this, but I didn't want to give to many details because I feel like this is very delicate and I don't want things to get worse. Feel free to ask questions through PM. 5. I used that costum one year. I recommend that you wear black tennis shoes so your feet are comfortable. and that the main is cutaway but the container is closed with a block of foam other wise your back won't feel too good later on in the night. I wasn't very clear on what DB had to keep the money in when he left the plane but I used a 12 pack box full of beer and covered it with a brown paper bag so it was like a brief case and used a sharpie to draw a dollar sign on it. You'll find that some of the older jumpers and even some that read up on the history of skydiving and related things will know what your costum is and the younger newer jumpers won't know at all. 7. Don't worry, Travelocity enforces garuntees with it's partners. It won't take long for travelocity customers to start calling complaining about skyride before the partnership is disolved. Either that or skyride will be forced to be honest in order to be in business with travelocity. 9. High pitch sound idea is good. I think that would bug me too. Turning off the phone defeats the purpose I want tobe able to use it. The whole idea is to annoy them and not make me suffer in the process. 10. I had a conversation with someone, and they told me I don't know how to let things go. They used a thread I was writing on the forums in DZ.com as an example. I think they must have been stalking me on the board because I didn't point it out to them to go and read it. It was also the only string of post I wrote. Usually I don't write anything in any of the forums. Anyway, at risk of having them tell me the same thing again I make this reply... Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, they are calling my cell phone. If they call before my unlimited time I can't follow that advice it would get exspensive. If I did it at all I could accept other incoming calls while I was just letting it sit there becasue I couldn't hear the phone ring. Further, the point is to harrass them, it is more fun than just letting them get bored. I thought I could get some help, I read a post on here once where someone asked for likewise help and the result was the offender getting several phone annoying calls. So please, anyone that would like to mess with someone. By all means. 11. Everyone, May want to block caller ID on this one. This just started tonight. The perps are calling wrong number, and I have told them so. Over and over and it just keeps on going. 15. It is necessary, unles the ladies want to sit in piss. If you are upset because you almost fell in, start looking before you go to sit. You know you have to sit, and you know you need the seat. It's simple glance behind you then put it down. Hell, you look before you pull right? sitting on thebowl isn't even as stressfull, unless you've been drinking a lot of cheap beer. I'm not sure how that is possible, if the seat is down then you piss on the seat, not the rim because the seat covers it. If the seat is up then you piss on the rim, not the seat becasue it is up. I personlly don't piss all over the place. Just when I shake because the head of my penis is being point all over and piss flies all over. The thingy is called the despenser or the roll. Yes guys can, unless they are retarded or have no use of thier arms. If they choose not to do it on purpose, maybe it's because they are tired of doing so often... don't use so much. Good luck. 17. Check out the information on Alti-2's web site regarding their Field Support Reps. http://www.alti-2.com/Altimaster_support.htm "Altimaster Field Support participants are discouraged from selling Altimaster products, this program is intended to support our existing dealers." I will admit to being a fan of their products. I have a Neptune in my helmet, a Galaxy on my wrist and my original 28 year old Altimaster II on my chest strap. Once again, an assupmtion has been made. I said reps. I didn't say alti's reps or any particular manufacturer's reps. ...and not all reps are discuraged from trying to make a sale. As a matter of fact the whole idea is to push the product so that the person who is buying will go to the dealer and get one, and not the competitions. What ever the product is. I know because I represent a manufacturer. I also know of an instance that when someone asked about two different products in a forum, they got a bunch of private messages saying that they could help questions and such and in the forum a little bit too. Not that I care to have these debates, but have I proved my point well enough yet? I think the dead horse is out of feeling now. 18. Not only is there no D bag, but the lightening has some what of an increased pack volumn with all the extra reenforceing and such. Futher, most jumpers who get into CRW already have a free fall rig that fit a certain size canopy. It may not hold the lightening they need to jump for CRW. (few jumpers want to go out and buy a whole new rig just so the lightening will fit right. So a little sticks out since there is no D bag. Usually not much sticks out anyway. and lots of times only the risers will because of the typical type 8 with block grips and extra sets of toggles and such. my canopy is totally contained, if I got lazy some would stick out. For now only the risers aren't covered because they just don't fit. That photo is really nasty. Kleggo is right maybe if they were a rouge DZ or something or maybe were acustomed to seeing that nasty of a pack job. You wouldn't be let on the plane like that. It's one thing to poke fun of a CRW pack job and to get a reaction out of free fallers but that photo is way over board. 19. Relax dude, what's your problem? LOL some people here are Alti-2's field rep's so they happen to know about what they talk about, most of the time And bad advice here usually gets corrected, if it is bad as such and not just another way of doing things. All in all, even though it is always best to check with instructors/mfr's/etc the info on here is pretty good, I find. But you're not obligated to read it or follow it or reply to it. But if people give you well-meant advice regariding a post you made, that is also correct info to boot, a post like yours comes off as.... unmannered. IMO. No problem and I generally stay relaxed. if anyone thinks I'm not because of something they read, then that is a matter of perception based on a written word. Intent gets lost with out the rest of the communication to go with it. facial expression and tone of voice. An unmannered post is all in the perception of the reader. Is it really unmannered or is it that the person reading it just didn't agree so they call it unmannered. Just thinking here. Like I said there are lots of jumpers that think they know everyhting about everything. I go find my own info from the MFR's websites or I call them. I don't take advice from the average jumpers. I rig, so I get my advice from other riggers namely masters, and manufactuerers. no offense but not reps because they are pushing the product they represent (in general). Instructors are experts at the rating they have, not really gear, unless they rig too. gernerally speaking. When I say bad advice I speak of DZ.com in general not just a particular forum. Well meant advice isn't always right. Correct info is correct because it is, not because the person who is giving it means well. AggieDave gave good advice, just not to the right person in my opinion. The people who needed to read the website are the ones who are thinking of getting a digital alti. I don't need to read it, I have made up my mind. I did thank him just the same. how is that a problem or not relaxed or unmannered? (dare I ask?) 20. that's cool. Like I said thanks for trying to give me a heads up. Seems to me that the ones reading in DZ.com need to go to the MFR's websites and get info and make decisions for themselves. I don't plan on getting a digital so I don't need to read it. (I also said I use machanical altimeters) if I change my mind then I will go read the MFR's websites. I rarely post on DZ.com (don't know why I did this time) or read from here because lots of jumpers think they know everything about every part of jumping. Not saying that you are an uninformed know it all AggieDave. Point being, there is lots and lots of bad advice and info on here. It will be just about impossible to police what is being said to make sure it is all correct. Lesson learned for me, stay out of the forums to avoid this type of posting. 21. You might want to do some reading on Alti-2's site then. Paralog has been able to download and log jumps on the computer since nearly the beginning. did you actually read or just skim over and quickly make a reply. Read above again, I said I think, which means I'm not sure. Apparently I would have to go to Atli's website to know for sure. thanks for trying to give a heads up. 22. Maybe that's the way the manufacturer's want it? more $$$$ for them. I got a senior rigger back rating so I could do my own minor repairs and pack jobs. Not so sure I want to do more than that. 23. the adavantages of an analog altimeter over a digital one regardless of what brand is this. no replaceing batteries. I use a glow in the dark face saffire. I have always used it. Even in AFF. I use an alti 2 chest mount for CRW. At the time when I bought it, I didn't know it would come in handy for night jumps. I don't do night jumps all the time, but I'm glad I had it instead of duck taping glow sticks to me fo things could get caught when I opened. there is also the chance of an unintentional night jump too. trust me it has happend. back to pros and cons- in my opinion, I would want a mechanical for the simple reason that electronical devices fail more often. I'm an electronics tech, I would know. the neptune is good because you can use it as an audible and it will keep track of some info about your jumps. you just can't download it, I think. 24. I'm willing to bet that both those king airs are the same. it will be up to the pilot. I think that Snorre will give mike a run for it. The advantage of on board air is nice though. Why don't we put both planes in the air and have both race down and pick up more jumpers. Fly a true formation load but with four drops and two trips.
