Who gives a rat's ass what others think of you or your passions? If it floats your boat - then ride that puppy! What are we here on this earth for if not to enjoy life to it's fullest? The only way they will "believe" this passion is for real is the test of time. But to be honest, why does it matter? WHo cares if you are a tennis freak one year, a golf fanatic the next, a bird watching boob the next and so on? Is there a limit on how many new things we try or how long we try them. I say good on ya for really taking life by the horns and trying all the things that appeal to you. Wish I could say I go for everything that appeals to me. Not only would I have a lot more cool memories and experiences, but I'd be getting more "piece" too. Fall in dove.

AirAnn rocks!!!!! I suck at lying too. I feel like it must be so obvious cause it makes me so uncomfortable. Though I have pulled off a few white lies to get out of certain obligations so I can jump on a nice day or a boogie weekend. Fall in dove.

Whenever I see a beautiful sunset or awesome cumulus clouds it makes me think, "God, we are so lucky." We being skydivers. How can the rest of the world exist without ever knowing what it's like to be up there? Amazing. We really are the lucky few. Fall in dove.

That's what I thought. Then I dated a few skydivers and they suck ass just like all men suck ass. And no, I'm not bitter. Seriously, I was gonna have a non-skydivers-need-not-apply rule, but I don't want to close the door to other amazing opportunities. And though I LOVE skydiving and my life was initially totally encompassed by it, there is so much more to life and so many other cool things to do. I'm not saying I'll ever give it up, but I will leave my heart and mind open.

Wow. I've had tons of small nicks and bruises and riser burns, etc. But the bigguns were: Freefall collision - unconscious in freefall, broke 2 ribs, bruised a lung, nerve damage in right arm, almost bit tongue off (was dangling by bottom skin) and trauma to my stomach, diaphragm and intestines. Shattered/compressed tibial plateau. Surgery with 12 weeks non-weight bearing and 2 weeks partial weight bearing. Out for almost 4 months. Other small ones - broke thumb on a jump, have no idea how, but it was broken when I got down; landed off on a night jump (only 3 of 18 jumpers made it back) and got STUCK under a chainlink fence tearing up my leg. But it was a cool jump up until then! So now I figure I've reached my quota. It's all good from here on out. (crossing fingers and toes) Fall in dove.
