*S I G H* Considering my current financial situation I won't be able to make it to Eloy.And I really wanted to show you all my boobies!!!!! Seriously though - I am so bummed. And despite that I found good tickets, all the other stuff like registration, food, gas, jumps, etc. will add up to too much. I tell my mom when someone I know is hurt or lost. Not to inform her, but 'cause I need her support. We're great, close friends and talk a lot. I know sometimes it's hard for her to hear about it, especially since it seems when it rains it pours. You know, a bunch of accidents all near each other, then a few good months, then something else. But on the other hand, I don't want her to be totally in the blue about the dangers of skydiving either. When I was married I would NEVER tell my husband! He would just be mad at me (found that out the hard way,) and then more pissed the next time I went skydiving. If you need comfort, I would tell. Your wife knows what you do is dangerous. Right now you need support and I'd think she'd want you to come to her if you need her. Hang in there Quade. Fall in dove.

Crap! I totally didn't think about packing! Ah, well. I'm a tough cookie. I can take the pain if it'll get my hiney back in the sky. But I have such hard time getting the air out of my canopy it always helps if there's some extra weight on top of me when I lay on my canopy! Fall in dove.

Hey - I'm a kickass healer! Just yesterday I was carrying around monitors and pulling cable. Due to the healing incisions I won't be able to kneel comfortably until the stitches are out so looks like I'll have to rise up on my feet. Fall in dove.

My criteria for returning to the sky were running without pain and being able to jump off a picnic table onto both feet (not favoring one or the other) with no pain..... just in case you flare a little high you need to be able to absorb the impact without damaging yourself. Took me 4 months. Doctor said 6 but I was way ahead of schedule with my healing the entire time. Drink your milk, take lots of calcium, do PT, and for goodness sake DON'T walk on it until they tell you to! Also - you may think you're gonna want to jump the minute the cast comes off - but you will be surprised how stiff and sore you may be. Don't rush it. You only get ONE chance to heal correctly the first time around. The sky will always be there waiting for you.

Michele, It doesn't sound angry at all to me. Just sincere. Like you always are - that's why you're so loved! You're real. I have TONS of hugs for you ANYTIME you need 'em. (Though I'm a little pooh-poohed at you for letting me go on and on about me and hardly mentioned any of those other things that were going on with you! You have to let me do some of the love lavishing too you know!) I love you, babe. We all do.
