only ONCE did I think "Wow! Here we are on jump run and not a single fart!" I caught a wiff on my way out the door. No such thing as a fart free ride! Even worse... someone DID fart at work this weekend and the first thought in my mind was "hey, smells like a jump plane in here!" lol! dove

I had on a gray v-neck sweater and black stretch pants, with crazy curly long brown hair. I was mostly around the fire, either dancing on the bench or challenging other drunk skunks to muscle or flexibility contests. Ah, nothing like a good buzz! dove

Thanks Val! Yeah - I am lovin' the suit too. It flies so much better than the old bed sheet I was jumping before. The last thing a chick my size needs when freeflying is a huge cotton balloon suit! Wow - we should have some way to tell dz.comers so we don't keep missing opportunities! Oh, I don't know, like a hand tattoo or something. SOMETHING! Hope your new years rocked! dove

I am at your service Dan! And her name is Thalia (pronounced Tally) She is awesome. She was the first person by my side when I had my accident and she insisted the ambulance take me to a further away hospital that was far better than the close one. I don't jump there anymore since i moved to Florida (grinning and shaking my booty!) but if I talk to her I will pass it on! dove

I used to always wear my Z1 when freeflying. It was fine. Only problem with it was you couldn't geek the camera as much. It is so fun to see everyones' faces - smiles and grins and tongues... part of the fun of it! Not to mention kiss passes aren't the same with the full-face click-kiss! Now I have a bonehead and you can see my cheshire cat grin spanning from ear to ear! dove

Only dz.comers I know I met were Nathan and Brittany (you go girl! Kick ass!) I think I more than likely was on the plane with a lot more - especially on new years eve and day. Made a nice high-altitude jump on new years day. Thank God it wasn't until noon. Stayed up a little late on new years eve - er - dancing on tables! It was too cloudy to do night jumps and by the time the moon popped out I had already had one too many. Ah, well. Night jumps come and go but you only get to ring in 2002 (and a new life for me) once! dove

Thanks Pammi. Yeah, for the first time in my life I am realizing that I deserve to be happy too. I always spent so much time worrying about everyone else. Funny thing is, happiness is SOOOO contagious everything else just seems to fall in place. Yippee for me!!!! And everyone else who skydives. Best people I ever met. What kind of people jump out of perfectly good airplanes? The best kind! dove

"...I just got the new Parachutist and you are wayyy hot..." How can you tell from that silly pic?!?!?! All you can see is my huge grin and my bonehead.... ahhhhh, it's my bonehead! But thanks. The holidays were sort of rough - 1st time without family cause at this point I couldn't afford to go home... but I spent them with my new family at the dz and it was actually sorta special. Even got to meet a dz.comer - Nathan (although I didn't know he was one at the time) Hope everyone has a great New Year's celebration! Remember - I'm single now and I need someone to kiss into the new year.... at 13,000! dove

I love to open up my gear bag and take a big whiff - mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!! So addictive! And try taking a prop plane somewhere! You smell the jet fuel and your blood starts coursing through your veins and the adrenaline rushes in! Then you have to talk your body into landing with the plane when it's all psyched up to make a skydive. Brutal!

About 5 months ago I remember a similar thread in here and I posted about how lucky I was that my husband was supportive despite the fact that he had no interest in ever making a jump (won't even do a roller coaster!) He said as long as it made me so happy it was great for him too. Long story short - moved to Florida 6 weeks ago and signed the separation agreement 3 weeks ago. It was getting more and more tense and then I had that accident - that was it! He wouldn't even get me ice for my broken ribs! Good luck. I know it can be done cause there are a few couples out there that have made it happen. As difficult as this has been, I am happier than I have ever been. Skydiving makes me so happy from way deep inside and I just can't give up my happiness. So here I am in Florida... broke, jumping and grinning like crazy. dove
