  2. Thanks for all the input guys. Keithbar, I was able to find the shackles through an old thread- I think Matt Hoover was the OP or posted the link. I ordered: http://catalog.dj-associates.com/item/special-hardware/fixed-eye-snap-shackle--bronze/3440-a?&forward=1
  3. Hi all! I'm switching out the plastic buckle on my camera jacket wings for an RSL-style shackle and wanted to see what experienced videographers recommend. Most of the RSL links/shackles I've seen online seem like more money than I'd like to spend, but I'm tired of having my wings pop off when I flip to my back or pop up in a sit. Thanks!
  4. Has anybody put a Katana 135 in a Javelin RSK1? If so, how tight was the fit? I've had sizes 170-135 in my J2K, has anybody had problems putting a canopy one size larger in an RSK? Thanks! Btw, I'm a good packer ;)
  5. Jet-Li kick at the tire was bones' advice on it because HU bases build up vertical speed real fast, if you end up on your back for even a second the base can really drop away. Also think about having your feet cross the plane of the door before your head does
  6. Shit! I am a royal dumbass. Glad I found that out. Thanks Trunk
  7. I recently bought a Cookie CX100 cage and liquid flatlock and I seem to have misplaced the small blue "kidney bean" that goes in the slot next to the metal mechanism... my two questions are 1) is the flatlock still usable without it 2)where can I find a replacement thanks everyone!
  8. I can't believe the news Howard... I'll always remember all the times bullshitting in the hangar with Gary on cloud days, the kickass freefly check dive I did with him. I looked up to him greatly as a skydiver, and as a person. I only got to make one jump with him at Jumptown, but I will cherish it forever. Nate
  9. 1) have fun and stay safe 2) fall faster (more beer drinkin' and bacon eating!) 3) take a canopy course 4) attend some boogies! 5) more coach jumps 6) start that freeflyin' illness 7) kick my dad's ass in accuracy... probably not gonna happen
