If I was an attorney in his court, the moment I got notice a case of mine was assigned to his division, I'd immediately petition for a change of judge. Here we get to do that once in every case and don't even need a reason...

Another Veteran Badly Hurt by Oakland Police/Thugs

...and there you have it folks. Read it and weep. Police unions protect good cops against the whiny little prick thugs who readily attack Cops, but immediately cry brutality when their aggression is met in kind. -
Occupy Toronto (Canada) Message Becoming Muddled

As opposed to the American ones, who have yet to specify their exact goals, the justification thereof, the route to them, much less the financing? THat's not saying much... -

Schizophrenic gun owner goes on killing spree

Then I think you should reread this thread. I used to think that a panel of mental professionals would be a good way to determine if the mentally disturbed should be put into our legal system and judged competent and allowed their full rights as Americans... but after seeing how some of those supposed "professionals" act..I have to ask, who gets to make sure those selected for the panel are not megalomaniacal nutters. Too many of them are all too small minded people with their own personal agendas and on self-serving power trips. So what is your solution? To whom would you grant the power to adjudicate someone incompetent to have full rights? Lets go with all those here blithering about rights.... the REAL solution.. a Constitutional solution... GUNS FOR EVERYONE *facepalm* -

With all due respect you are whining that BoA wanted to charge you 2.5% instead of 1%. This just illustrates the generational gap between those of us who experienced the last big recession as young people coming out of school and finding huge hurdles to overcome (the recession of the early 1980s) and this current economic climate we find ourselves in. Not saying things aren't bad now, except those of us who had to deal with the recession of the early 1980s, we also had to deal with double digit interest rates sometimes as high as 20%. And here you are whining about 2.5% rates. I didn't hear any whining, just smart consumerism.

Fair enough. I just refuse to support the intellectualy dishonest. If they came out and said legalize it, tax the bejezus out of it like Tobacco or Alcohol, and enforce DUI laws as stringently as they apply to Alcohol, I'd vote for it. Bullshit me and I will vote against it, and if you are caught with it--don't drop the soap.

What is truly important here is: How big were the girl's boobs?

Just be intellectualy honest. Don't support "Medical" Pot simply because you like to get stoned. Support it openly, stating it is because you like getting stoned. Stop co-opting other's illness to advance your favorite vice. I opposed the AZ MediPot initiative simply because the majority of those who supported it wouldn't be honest about their motivations...

Fuck no. Someone whose job is pimping their brand of Invisible Man in the Sky? I'd prefer someone who knew how to run a business that actually produces something.

Actually, if, hypothetically, it really came right down to it (general uprising, revolution, etc.) your land in the country would really be more valuable than all the other stuff the occupiers are clamoring for. Can't eat cash or grow blueberries in a condo. All those really destitute folks and functionally disabled who are now totally dependent on the government for food and shelter would be the real losers. Canned food and Kalashnikovs...Canned food and Kalashnikovs.

If he was declared mentally ill, the system is already supposed to take his weapons. You advocating a Stasi-like organization that keeps tabs on the mental health and firearm inventories of everyone? No thx. -
unemployed people can. Lots of expensive stuff (iPads, Macs, Smartphones, designer clothing) for those "unemployed" folk... A lot of rich kids slumming with a scant few bona fide poor folk. Rich kids who think it's cool to bite the hand that feeds them foie gras and beluga caviar. These people seem to fail to realize that Apple started in a Garage, and Google and Facebook started in dorm rooms. Hilton started as a single hotel... Stop whining about what you don't have, and go out and DO SOMETHING TO EARN IT.

If I suffered from self hatred I would have become a divorce lawyer, not an educator. Meh. No self-loathing here. I like money and winning. That's why I do what I do, which I do quite well... Does it ever both you to profit off the the despair and suffering of others... No.
