Some "advice" I received...
Throttlebender replied to JumpeRod's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Seems clear that he meant what he said from what I read. Also, read the thread, "Is the stiletto obselete" in this forum. There are al lot of guys that seem quite fond of the stiletto for swooping among other things. Life expands or contracts in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin -
WHY NO SALUTE BY OBAMA @ MoH CEREMONY?

Indeed. An apparent lack of it leads in that direction. Life expands or contracts in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin -

No use trying to convince a religious zealot of anything. It's a guarantee that he's sitting in front of his monitor with a smirk and a glazed look in his eyes. And when presented with questions that can't be dodged, the comeback is usually an attempt at condescending humor or a mantra of scripture. Enjoy your relationship with your story books. If a 35 year old male is banging a 20 year old female...
Throttlebender replied to iluvtofly's topic in The Bonfire
I didn't realize that was the difference between the two of you. Aubrey and I have you beat I'm afraid. I'm almost 40 and she just turned 24 this month Life expands or contracts in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin -
Emmie, My wife has a V310 that has a PDR 143 and a Sabre2 150 and the fit is perfect. In fact, when she first got the rig, we put my Pilot 168 in it for about 50 jumps for transitional reasons. It was a tight fit but not as tight as you might think. And I was amazed by this considering the UPT sizing chart claimed that the max sized Pilot a V310 would take safely is the 140. Hope that helps. Life expands or contracts in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin

Looking for a good canopy course in FL
Throttlebender replied to Throttlebender's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I'll be in Central FL for all of Dec and possibly part of Jan and would like to find a good canopy course. I would even seek out private instruction from a really reputable coach. Any suggestions? Life expands or contracts in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin -

Canopy control & "running it off"

" Flying through the opening"
Throttlebender replied to cmejump2's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
That was a fun clip Actually, I arrange my package quite thoroughly and cinch my leg straps tightly so everything is out of the way. I probably overdo it to be honest. Regarldess, it doesn't hurt at all. Does that mean it's a good technique or does that mean I have small balls? Life expands or contracts in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin -
" Flying through the opening"
Throttlebender replied to cmejump2's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I was taught to look at the horizon through the entire opening, feet and knees together, legs straight, and hands clasped together at my belt line. So far, it's worked like a charm. Easy on my neck and all but a few have been on heading. Life expands or contracts in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin -

Definitely something I learned immediately. There is no such thing as "quick" or "on schedule". Every time I've ever gone to the DZ it is an all day affair. Always But the community is half of the fun so I don't mind at all Life expands or contracts in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin

I've read a lot of your posts and while you do have a lot of good things to say, your delivery sucks. Truly. Do you speak this way to people in person and if so, are you mainly laughed at, punched, or ignored? Because unless you're surrounding yourself with weaker, more insecure people, I can't imagine anyone putting up with it for long. Life expands or contracts in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin
