California's Proposition 19. Legal Weed!! What's everyone think?
doughboyshred replied to Mike420's topic in Speakers Corner
your poll is flawed. There needs to be an additional option. Weed can be harmful, just like all drugs, but it's not the governments responsibility to tell me what I can and can not do. It seems so contrary to me that Republicans who claim to be all about personal responsibility when it comes to most everything turn a 180 when it comes to drugs. Well, unless big pharma is involved. -
I completely understand!!! I keep hoping and praying that I will find something different. No luck yet. The most recent bad events.....Old Drunk Bastard tried to get naked at my desk. The office had an office luncheon and didn't invite me. Yep.....I just love this office. Your post is unclear as to whether that happened in your presence. If it did, that would make you the victim of unlawful sexual harrassment. Oh it was completely in my presence. He unbuckled his belt and undid the button on his pants. Another guy came walking down the stairs and ask him what the hell he was doing. Uhhh, that's pretty much the definition of sexual harassment. Get yourself a good lawyer, get some cash, and get the fuck out of there.

Watch out copying and posting newspaper articles

The entire patent process is fucked. It's being abused on many levels, and no longer protects the people it was originally designed to protect. -

Thanks. Sounds like they were at 2,000' when they lost power. Scary to read how fast a plane loses altitude after loss of power. -

I don't get why the skydivers on board didn't bail if the problem happened above 3900'. -

I know we can't expect a perfectly good airplane, but I think we have every right to expect a properly maintained airplane. -

being completely new to the sport, shitty maintenance on the a/c is one of my biggest fears. Going down in a plane is the one thing we have absolutely no control over. This makes me sick. If true dude deserves more than a fine. -
Potentials? That drug user could potentially corrupt my children, or your sister, or his family. If you actually cared about this, and weren't just spouting off nonsense you would be opposed to prohibition.
-
Sure If enough people want to do it, just make it legal for christs sake huh...... It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with what the best course of action is to reduce use, abuse, and dependence. Prohibition does not work.
-
Hope you're proud of the people that lose their lives thanks to your drug war. BTW, I don't use any drugs (including alcohol). How about you? Do you drink? If so, you're a hypocrite.

Does the fear ever go away?
doughboyshred replied to Hunt_Joshua_G's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
That initial rush of air is a little disconcerting. I think what scared me about it the most was the thought that I was going to get sucked out of the plane. LOL. Opening the door is a little nerve racking now, but having the door open is more of a relief. At least there's nothing in the way if you need to bail out. -
Minding my own business doing my work at work and........

it's because you want to kill them. I love spiders. They kill the bugs that I hate. I never kill spiders. I do not put them outside. They are welcome to live in my house all they want, and they never fuck with me. Spiders are my friends. Bugs are not. -
asshole cop, my ass. Dude had a great sense of humor. I just hope that if I get nailed during 30 over I am lucky enough to get a cop with a personality and a sense of humor.

Oh hell yes. Let 'em speak up! It's the only way we can really get to know what the "public servant" is all about. If you think what they say on their "own time" has no relevance to how they conduct public business, you are sadly mistaken. Exactly. Say what you want. As the article states you have a right to say what you like. You don't have a right to have a job as a public servant. We don't need people like him working in positions of power. Same goes for those phelps assholes, and that kkk cop. We as citizens have a right to demand that our public servants treat all of us equally.

That looks like so much fun. Hope to be ready by 2012!

Arizona cuts access programs, many will die
doughboyshred replied to Lucky...'s topic in Speakers Corner
Maybe if he didn't have SIX kids he could have afforded to pay his share of his employer provided health care. Essentially he is expecting the tax payers of the state to pay for his health care so he can pay for his kids, which he shouldn't have had in the first place. I agree that brewer is a piece of scum, but if this guy wasn't intent on doing his part to overpopulate the planet, maybe he would have been able to afford his own insurance instead of counting on the government to take care of him. SIX freaking kids. I wonder what other government subsidies his family relies on. -

Today was my 12th jump and the first time that I actually wasn't scared shitless. I felt great on the plane ride up. I actually enjoyed it. Spotting didn't freak me out, and climbing out was no big deal at all. Pretty stoked to be at this point. -
Great examples of why there needs to be a strong public option, and why health insurance companies need to be regulated with a heavier hand.
