  1. Jerk, now I'm going to be un-focused at work all day cuz I'll be thinking about how you did it. Did you take other footage of something else and super-impose it into the background? I watched it again and I love how the instructor is going ape-shit and punching the air while falling. So funny. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  2. I'm interested in hearing what they told you, as well. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  3. Be more ignorant... @OP, good luck in your jumping and welcome to Dropzone.com. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  4. I am laughing my ass off at work because of this video. Thanks for making my slow friday a little better. How did you shoot the scene when he hit the mountain? Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  5. St.Arnold's huh? H-town? I love their Elissa IPA, but I haven't tried a beer of their's that I didn't like. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  6. Start working somewhere now so that way when you are eligible you can take AFF and jump solo. I did a tandem out of the blue a few weeks ago at 23 years old and thank God I did, cuz it was the best feeling ever. Seriously, If I had money to pay for this I'd be doing AFF the day after my first jump if I could. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  7. Welcome to dropzone. I am in your exact shoes, jumped once thinking that would be it. Now I'm hooked. And I have spent hours on these forums just trying to absorb as much info as I can, and I gotta tell you there is alot of useful information on this website. Watch out though, there is alot of bogus stuff, too. Let us know how your progress goes! Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  8. "Stay", with Ewan McGregor. One of the coolest movies I've ever seen, and it will DEFINITELY make you think.... Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  9. Hmm. Never thought of this. My job will allow me to move around the country whenever I want to, and I never thought about this aspect of it. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  10. Welcome and good luck. I jumped my first tandem a few weeks ago and I can't wait to start AFF. You will get hooked, so watch out. Better find a job so you can start doing it more often. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  11. Another thought that nobody has mentioned yet is how much safer places like Arizona and Southern Texas will be. I have been to El Paso, TX many times, and the Mexican city Juarez is litterally across the river. So far, 20,000 people have been killed in the past few years due to drug cartel violence. When the day comes where American farmers grow American weed and sell to American consumers, then violence like this in other countries will decrease significantly. The problem with the war on drugs isn't with places like Colombia or Mexico, it's the USA creating such a high demand for these drugs. If pot gets legalized, I wouldn't smoke just because it's legal, but it would create such a huge tax revenue for the state, decrease violence, and get rid of a bunch of thug drug dealers off the streets. 12. Can I pass on diving in a corset and just skip to the taking the shot from the cleavage part of initiation? Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  13. Damn, a Shiner Bock sounds so good right now. Sometimes it's too carbonated for my tastes, but when it's perfect, it's one of the best beers ever. @billvon. Where are you, and can I come drink with you? My mouth is watering just reading all that. Goose Island is a microbrew in Chicago, right? I have heard that brewery before, and if it is the Chicago brewery, one of their beers was awesome. Can't remember the name though... 14. I'm currently drinking Sam Adams Seasonal, but my favorite beer is probably Magic Hat #9 (if you haven't drank this beer, go get some NOW). How about you guys? If it's not beer, what other type of alcoholic drink is your favorite? Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  15. Wow, that is SO AWESOME!! Man, I can't wait to start skydiving.... Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  16. Whoa! Good job man, that's one of the coolest thing's I've seen. You gotta be pretty strong, huh? Not only to hand on when your buddy pulls, but to climb up on his shoulders like that. Definitely bookmarking that video. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  17. The LAST thing I want to do is have some crazy guy do something crazy to me without knowing what's going on. I have a feeling this is more along the lines of something like an elephant walk out the plane.... bleh. but but....look at your sig line! seriously, its not dangerous once you learn how to arch, and its not done at breakoff...where do u jump? Haha, damn bro. You really wanna see someone's reaction when you do this, huh? If I jump, as of right now it'd be at Skydive Spaceland in Houston. Work has me traveling around a bit for a while, but I'll be sure to have someone film it when I do that and post it on here. The wingsuit rodeo looked awesome! I still like watching people do a tube exit, then explode all over the sky. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  18. Welcome to the forums. There is some good advice on here. Blue Skies Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.

  21. "Mr Bill." Or for the real gold, "Mr Bill gone wrong" whoa. I don't know about that one. I guess if the other guy has a parachute as well it's ok, but without one, no way. Love the responses in this thread, though. You guys keep me entertained while at work. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  22. Congrats on making the first step. Keep us updated on what happens so those of us not in AFF yet can live through you, haha. Good luck. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  23. I am new to skydiving and I saw in another thread that someone posted two videos where people do a 4-way tube exit, and the other video is the horny gorilla. I was laughing my ass off on both videos, and I was wondering if there are any more awesome tricks like this that I can look up. Thanks Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  24. +1 Mt Rainier to the Southeast, the Olympics to the Northwest, the ocean off in the distance. Add to that Seattle and Mt Baker, the Cascades, Puget Sound, Hood canal. It took me more than one jump to enjoy the scenery. I still do solos when all I do is look. You just made me want to move the the PNW... Wow, that tube and the horny gorilla looks so fun! Congratulations on your first jump. Keep letting us know how you are doing so that people like me who haven't gone through AFF yet can live through you. Haha. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
  25. I have just made one tandem jump in my life, and am currently looking to do more when my finances get in order. However, I weigh 180ish right now, and I used to weigh 260. Let me tell you, forget skydiving for a moment. Losing weight just for the sake of losing weight will be the greatest life decision you will ever make. You can do it, anyone can. It might take a while, and it might be hard, but take it from someone who used to be considered obese, you will open so many doors and be able to do so much more with your life when you do. As for skydiving, it was one of the greatest things I've ever done, and you are just going to have to take my word for it, but the feeling you get when you pull and sit in the chute is definitely worth all of the sweat that it took to get down to 180. One thing that I did that helped a lot was that I bought this book called "The Abs Diet". It is a GREAT read, and I e-PROMISE you that it will work, if you apply it. Best of luck to you, and hopefully you don't get discouraged by what people say here about your weight. I know it sucks to hear people say you can't do something because of your weight, but use that as fuel to lose it. Some people spend their whole lives afraid to die that they never truly live.
