Thank You Dave, That sounds like Great advise

I have the exact same problem, I jumped with 3 other guys on Sunday, They all left the plane linked and i left about a second later, I started to slow down as i was getting closer but still went lower and never docked, Im 6'3" 255 exit weight. I plan on ordering a suit and getting some more tunnel time. I feel your pain. Ive been told to try and fall like an angry bear

Congrats on getting your A.

taking aaf in spring, how many jumps a day
TSISK replied to jrmrangers's topic in Introductions and Greets
I think the max jumps you can do at my DZ as a student is 5. -
bullshit. you are just lazy. you claim to be a big boy - you are 5'8" 185# - that's nothing out of the ordinary for someone living in the US, perhaps a bit chubby, but that's it. you keep referring to riding motorcycles like you are some big shot biker. Got any accomplishments to prove that ? Got you name plastered all over the internet (I don't mean postwhoring in a MC forum) ? Completed 50CC (not cubic centimeters) ? Completed Iron Butt ? Rode to a bunch of rallies ? Got cool pics of yourself riding ? As of right now you have over 2800 posts since registering 18 months ago, and most of them are in the Bonfire, most on topics unrelated to skydiving. Spend more time reading pertinent info, and less time posting. blah... WOW... are you guys buddys

After aff 7 i was able to split up some solos with coached. If i did 3 or 4 jumps i would 2 coached and 2 solo. It was cheaper to do it that way but def get as many coached as your instructers suggest

Look closely and you can see 2 in the top right corner. Sweet picture

I got my A license 2 weeks ago and did my 26th jump last weekend. It was the first jump where i had to rent a rig, handle getting someone to pack it, Buy jump tickets ect. It was also the weekend of a Boogie. I was a nervous wreck on my first jump of the day From the second i got there till I left the plane on the first jump. For some reason the ride up was brutal. I know i checked my 3 handles 50 times before my exit.

I jump in Eloy, I dont think there is a mode of tranportation to get you to the DZ from Tempe. Eloy is kind of a remote area.

well come to find out square 2 had a jumpsuit to lend me when i rented my rig. Met a couple real nice people the weekend before when i got my A license and i left there Saturday with a couple of jumpsuits, a Tony suit and an older suit. Buying beer when you get your "A" really pays off. I also found out that a mirage g4 is waaaay mor comfy than a student rig

I know its not my 100th but i guess i could jump nekkid

I just went through my aff and got my license there. The Place Rocks. The instructors are really cool and there to help. I live in Tucson about 40 miles away so its the only place ive jumped. The wind tunnel is the shit also. Love landing in the grass

Does anyone ever jump in jeans?
-
I do understand how important a suit is, Ive already got an Altitrack, and a helmet of my own just havent got the suit yet. Ill be renting a rig and wasnt sure what the attire should be. Im in Az and its still in the low 100's so i also dont want to cook but also wanna be as safe as possible. Thanks for all the responses

I just got my A and headed out to do some jumps on Sat or Sunday. My question is... Ive been wearing a student jumpsuit up until now. I havent purchased a jump suit yet and im not sure what to jump in. Is Shorts and tshirt acceptable. I know jumpsuits help control fall rate and im getting one but havent yet. Thanks for any advise
