Of course there will be Rodriguez Brothers there. You just have to let one of us know that you want to do a jump. And stay up and there for the initiaitons. I do not know how many of us will be there, but I believe there will be at least 10. Chiquita "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"

So, say Hamm gives up his medal. Does that mean that Korea's Kim Dae-Eun gives up his silver medal and takes the bronze? What happens if Hamm gives up his medal but Dae-Eun does not give up his? Does Hamm get stuck with the bronze? I would think and hope Dae-Eun would give up his medal if Hamm gives up his, but there is no mention of it. So maybe that is what Hamm is also considering. You are in for one hell of a weekend. It will be like nothing you have experienced before. The skydiving, the party afterwards, everything. I didn't go to my intial boogie until well after I got off student status, so you are lucky. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Ganja, Cool, the more the merrier. Also, you need to track down Bombero and tell him he needs to come too. Every time I come out to Chester he says he is going to come this way one day. I say this is the perfect time. Chiquita "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"

I don't see why they wouldn't allow 2 rigs, but you can pm Hans (the guy that posted after you) and ask him seeing he is the manager there. I am not sure how many packers they are going to have though, so if you know of anyone that won't mind traveling up with you to pack definitely ask them. Also, bring some more of your Tallahasse friends, I met a few at Skydive Atlanta's boogie and they were pretty cool people. As far as how it is at the Farm, it is awesome. I have been about 6 times and I love it. It is a beautiful dz on private land. The only slight downside is that you have to take a shuttle to the airport, but the bus ride is fun. As far as birdman, I am not sure, I know at least one person that does it but I do not believe he has a suit at the moment. Chiquita "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"

Anyone that is not going to Rantoul or is planning on being back by the 14th should come to Skydive the Farm in Cedartown, GA. They are having another one of their $110 jump all you can weekends. I am trying to get as many fellow Rodriguez Brothers, or anyone that would like to become one, there as possible. So anyone in the South East or anyone that feels like traveling come on out. By the looks of it so far it looks like this is going to be one hell of a weekend. Chiquita RB #174 "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"

I had a great time. Didn't win much, but I left with a little more than I went with and we went to bout 4 different casinos. And I gambled all day until about 3 in the morning. The only thing that sucked was having to come back and go to work last night :( How about you? How was your road trip? Did you find anyone to go with you? I was originally planning on stopping by on Sunday also, but then I remembered that I have to work Sunday evening :(. Plus I am now going gambling with my aunt for most of the weekend. She promises that I will be back in time to get to work, we shall see. Chiquita "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"

Ok, I am trying to move out to Phoenix in the next month or so. But I am pretty much stuck between 2 apartments, both of which are in the Ahwatukee area. They are Pointe at South Mountain and Village at Lakewood. I am in the middle of a lease right now, so I pretty much have to stay with an Equity Apartment. So, if anyone has or know anyone that has lived in either of these apartments I would love to hear some opinions. Also, opinions about the area in general are also welcome. Basically a hangover is mostly caused by dehydration and loss of B vitamins, mainly B-1 & B-6. So for me the best and healthiest is of course lots of water before bed, the more you drink before bed the better you will feel in the morning. Also, take vitamin B-1 & B-6 or a good B-complex before going out, right before bed and when you first wake up. Also, take a good dose of vitamin C and a good mutlivitamin. And if you add some Milk Thistle that will help cleanse your liver, at least a little. The reason that aspirin, tylenol, advil etc are not that good, though they do help with the headache part, are that they either can upset your stomach more or are very hard on your liver. If you are going to take those then you should wait until you first wake up. Also, it is better to avoid coffee as it is a diuretic and will only dehydrate you more. I have used the water and vitamin B-1 for years and it has always done me good. Recently I have added vitamin C and Milk Thistle when I have it. I think you are doing the right thing. I have no kids myself, but I remember when I was growing up. My parents stuck to their word and I am now very grateful. It teaches you responsibility and respect among other things. So do not let your x or the grandparents change your mind. That is unless you let her do something to earn it (like someone else suggested). It can be anything from doing extra chores to extra yardwork or anything else within reason that you can think of. B.Moore, I will tell about the 3 dzs that I know the most about in Georgia. The closest dropzone would definitely be Skydive Atlanta. Which is located in Thomaston about 64 miles north of Warner Robins. They are also having their anniversary the first weekend that you will be in town. They also have the fastest jump plane in GA and possibly the country, about 7-7 1/2 minutes to altitude, plus airconditioning and music. It is a real nice dz I used to jump there all the time. The next closest would probably be Skydive Monore, where I usually jump, which is about 100 mile north of Warner Robin. Slightly smaller then Skydive Atlanta, but still a nice dz with a real good vibe. Both Skydive Atlanta and Skydive Monore j fly King Airs, but the one in Thomaston is much faster. There is also Skydive the Farm, which is the newest dz in GA. They are in Cedartown (not to be confused with the other dz in Cedartown) which is about 175 mile north to northwest of Warner Robins. It is a beautiful dz with 55 private acres and 2 natural ponds usually used for swooping. They are also the cheapest jump tickets wise, $14 for men and $10 for women (a special they are doing for their opening season). if you don't mind driving about 3 hours it is worth the drive. I have been there twice so far and love it. They usually jump a Caravan. The only disadvantage is you have to take a bus to the airport at the moment. If you have any other questions feel free to pm me anytime. Chiquita "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"

You know if I was in in TX I would come hang with you. I hate being stuck in an airport even for a couple of hours, I could not imagine over night. I would be going crazy. "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"

No shit – I REALLY thought we were gonna die!
Chiquita replied to SkyDivaChristie's topic in The Bonfire
I have a story similar to that. We were in a Cesna 182 flying into St. Andros Island about 20 miles out and we start having problems. Push the carberator in and plane spurts, pull it out and its fine (to me anyway, at least sounded better). I ask a question or two and know that we are having trouble, he's sweating and tense. So I decide to leave him alone and grab a book and just try my best to read and block out everything except what he tells me. I have a headset on but I could not hear any outside communications, only what he said to me, which was a problem that we had had the whole flight (which in a way was a good thing) Next thing I know we are s-turning to land at the runway and landing downwind because the engine had died over the ocean. A few good things (if you can call them that): we have our rigs & lifejackets in the back, friend flying with us in another 182 has GPS so if we do go down he will know exactly where we are, and we are in a jump plane so the door would open nice and easy. After we land they look over the plane and decide that is must have been a blocked fuel line because there was still fuel in the other wing. Then we refuel and take off for Florida. About I'd say half way to Florida fuel starts gushing out of the overflow valve (so I was told), I see fuel just pouring out and smell it in the plane. This went on for a about what seem like eternity, but probably was more like 2-3 minutes at he most. I pretty much sit there and mentally get ready for emergency exit, if the engine dies we are basically coast to a stop, we are at about 5,000 ft so we should have time to grab either or both our rigs and lifejackets, open the door and get ready to jump. But we are in the middle of no where with the only thing in sight (beside friend in other plane) is a barge way off in the distance. The rest of the flight home was completely uneventful. Anyway, glad to hear you landed safely. Your finance sounds like a good pilot. After that flight I bet you could have gotten a beautiful diamond if he had a piece of coal. That's basically what my boyfriend said at the time. Chiquita "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity" -

The only places that I have jumped on your journey are in GA, Emerald Coast in AL, and a few in FL. In GA I would definitely stop by Skydive the Farm, it a new dz on private property that is beautiful, plus (as long as you don't mind) $10 jumps for women

Sounds like a plan. I will definately be out there again soon. Look forward to jumping with you and everybody. "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"

The Farm definitely rocks. The place is beautiful and the people and vibe are awesome. If you are in the area or even near by go check this place out, you cannot beat the jump prices anywhere. Stop by and support these guys so they can make it the best possible dz. Chiquita "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"

I just visited this brand new dz and I must say it was awesome. It is on a private 55 acre property that has two nature ponds, several wide open plush grass landing areas. The people there were awesome and it has a great vibe. I think that once they are finished adding the classroms and such this will be the premiere drop zone in Georgia. If you are in the area or even near by, stop by and do a few jumps you'll love it. If the nature beauty of the place, people or the vibe don't win you over I am sure the price will, $10/14 upjumpers and $129 for tandems, call the dz to find out more.
