JUST AN UPDATE (if you care) I testified in the grand jury proceedings which consisted of 4 blacks, 3 hispanics, 3 whites, and 2 asians. My stop was found to be justified. He is going on trial or he will plead out. He has asked for a court appointed attorney. The DA stated that from what he has been told the ACLU isn't wanting to represent him now that the stop was found justified, (my translation: no race card to play), but it's up to the Judge to allow the ACLU to back out. However, I've never seen nor heard of a Judge not allowing an attorney to stop representing anyone with a good reason. Regardless, the fuckers going to face the music. The DA stated that he would not except a plea of less than 12 years (which means he will serve 5 to 7) or he could face 15-25 years if he tries to fight it in court. I was dispatched to this sort of thing last summer. The owner of the car called in to report his dog stolen. I took the report, he claimed he ran inside to grab something quick and when he returned the doggy was gone. I couldn't help but notice the 10-15 bags of groceries in the back seat, so much for quick...huh. Anyway, the next day a lady, sounded every bit of 90 years old called the department to explain that while at the grocery store the day before she saw a dog in a car on the verge of dying. She waited and waited for the owner but nobody came out. She then went and had the employees page the owner, still nobody came. She stated after an hour she felt she had no choice but to rescue the doggy so she opened the unlocked door and saved the poor little thing. The funny thing...I couldn't remember if anyone called to report a "missing" dog from a car. They shouldn't have stopped him if he had just a knife or just a sword or just a hatchet or even just a chain saw. But having all of these things including blood on the chain saw and apparently blood on his clothing. (If I read it correctly, when he was found on the highway after being let in the country, which was after the murders, his clothing was stained with blood.) Thats why he shouldn't have been let in. At minimal they should have detained him to test the blood to see if it was human.
