  1. eeneR - that was me waving at you during your tunnel session on Sunday. Aimee (rbrcokflichk), I and some others (non-dz.commers) had time booked with Chromy Sat & Sun
  2. That'd be funny. I'd be loading it at over 4.3. _Am Andy - I've got a Diablo 150 you can use. . .AND. . . crutches you can borrow!
  3. BillyVance : bet ya got a nice swoop outta that one! quade : I like your bombardier analogy. Viewpoint understood on both replies. I was just being silly.
  4. Old Farley or newer "Roger" version?? . . .here are the two different night naked ones. Somewhere I have an ad for the old Farley and Felicia Bakersfield t-shirts - (there was a female version too). I'm doing a little housecleaning . . . will send related items as I come across them.
  5. Looked at your newly revamped site today - - NICE ! ! ! FB-474 / NNFB-105
  6. What was the thing he was weighing on Earth? pumpkins !
  7. Tell me the radius and density of the African & European pumpkins and I'll give it an educated guess.
  8. I'd say it was more like bad luck - or maybe a bad spot! There's really not much to "hit" around Hinckley. . . it's 90% cornfields.
  9. Yep, it hasn't been used in a while!! I work at the hospital formerly know as Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center and went for a ride with one of our organ procurement people. We took off from/landed back at that old, piece of concrete that once was a helipad. Meigs field is no longer an option!!
  10. Someone requested that I post any information I had concerning the "infamous" pumpkin drop in 1987. I've attached a scan of two newspaper clippings Sorry about the poor quality of the scan . . . limited to 60Kb upload here and lost some quality in the size reduction. I don't have any good OCR software so I didn't try to scan in the text. ( this should probably be moved to History & Trivia )
  11. There's a landing pad in front of the "old" Cook County Hospital building.
  12. I agree that making a monkey fist knot is time consuming!! Haven't tried making one larger than 3 or 4 turns yet. When I broke my ankle the paramedics cut my shoelace so I tried making one with that. Kind of a keepsake. The one you made looks cool! Oh, and to answer the question: my deployment handle is a piece of PVC pipe. It came with the pilotchute...originally ROL that I had converted to BOC. I'm considering going to something different though.
  13. For creating the monkey fist knot take a look at these web pages: http://www.cooperativeadventures.com/mf.htm and http://www.angelfire.com/pa4/t173/monkeyfist.html
  14. Good luck on your surgery tomorrow!!! Good skill to your surgeon!
  15. Browse through the Airspeed Articles link at the top of this forum, in particular http://www.dropzone.com/safety/articles/FormingaTeam.shtml Good luck in your quest and HAVE FUN !!! 4-way rocks!

  17. I have - on a night jump!! NNFB #105
  18. I haven't read all of the responses yet but me personally...I'd probably give up at around 1500'. A dear friend of mine died trying to "save" another jumper in this fashion. He got a canopy over his head but not in time to save his life. She never pulled.
  19. Official team drink? Think we could get some sponsorship?
  20. Arizona Green Tea w/ Ginseng & Honey
  21. Erica - here's teasing you about the whole Teardrop / I want a pop-top container thing.
