  1. Yea the 17 year old girls landing was perfect, landed standing up, just floated down as gentle as a leaf, made me feel like a goof. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  2. I'll be wearing a jump suit next time if i have go buy my own. I think I would rather be hot standing around. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  3. Well it was offered. As bad as it looks it was really a mild fall. I did however learn a very good lesson, never depend on a radio to tell you to flare. I couldn't hear it but she did say flare, Bad thing is I knew I should flare but was thinking She will tell me,,,,,,,,and she was trying. But it was a great time, and its not my last jump, but hopefully its last mistake of that kind. On side note, the people Garry, James Cindy and videographer (cant remember his name) were great. Took their time answered questions and all in all were very professional. Thanks to them all. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. 4. Well I finally did it, Saturday in Lexington. OK I am officially over my fear of plunging to earth, well maybe not quite yet. Everything went well except that terribly ugly landing. Didnt flare soon enough but that wont happen again I hope. So heres the video, giggle all you want, It was a blast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5lObDTZDl8 Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. 5. I introduced myself in December. It took me a while but my first jump is 10 am Saturday (I mean the training starts) at Texas Skydiving Center. And for the record I'm scared to death. Hell i get spooked standing in the back of my truck. I'll post video after because I know you all need a laugh. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. 6. I didn't watch videos to learn about skydiving, thats why I'm going pay an instructor. I watched to learn about you (skydivers). I don't see it as being as much fun just to jump, its the people and the culture that makes it fun. Guess I could just came here first and gotten a better idea about the people. My reasoning is simple, in years past I drove a car up Pikes Peak in a race, driving was fun but people were stand offish and you felt like an outcast if weren't the rich type. I just didn't want another sport I enjoyed to be lessened by the people. I know theres bad and good in all sports but what I've learned here by your posts is its all about fun,,,,that part I like. Thanks being welcoming. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  7. OK 1100, this is taking forever to save money up. Yes I'm impatient lol. It will be spring before I have enough money. My girl thinks I'm going to miss a lot by doing training in one shot instead of weekends, the culture and the fun part of the sport. But I have a weird schedule. I don't get weekends off and days I do get off rotate week to week. It be lot easier if I could just go to a Dz on weekends like normal nuts who want jump out of aircraft. My girl brought her rig by since I had never seen one up close. She frowned on the idea of pulling me behind the truck. Not like it cost a lot of money. It seemed like a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon to me. Seemed fair since I offered to et her ride my horse and horse cost a lot more. Hum do I really need a horse? 9. LOL Its going to be a rush, and no ones going need push me. We all have fears and reservations about something, the actual sky dive doesnt scare me enough to not want to try it. I watched tons video just to try get an idea what its like, part scares me is God i hope im not as dumb as some students. I need no help in getting people to giggle at me. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”

  11. That is very cool diablo, sounds fun. I NEED MORE MONEY. I have got to have something I can sell,,,,I'm kidding kinda. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  12. I am going jump soon I hope, got 800 saved. I can only take off a week from work, so that gives me two weekends and my week vacation. My question is it possible and reasonable to go through AFF in nine days? Is this even wise to try? And last question, exactly how high are beer dues? My GF just smiles when I asked her so I'm assuming I need a lot more money. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  13. Well I lucked out, she a cutie, doesn't like the thought of her own kids and makes more than me. Plus she has near 200 jumps so at least I'll have someone to laugh at me out of kindness. Oh and for the record I have never cheated. But the X was very good at it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
