  1. But it is so much fun to be whiny! "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  2. Today is the first day of my dz's Memorial Day Boogie and right about now the plane should be getting in and everyone from out of town and locals are all starting to get geared up for the first jumps of the weekend and I am stuck in an office. An office that is so dead because everyone is out enjoying their holiday weekend! So sad, isn't it? "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  3. Oh Bob! That is cruel! Thanks for the kind words! I heard someone saying that they had seen you. It was a fun demo and I also think that it went wonderful! Wish that you could have made it out to the dz to play! "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  4. Ho shit this can't be good. So what sort of apparatus is she to use for dancing? or is the flap flap flap noise going to come from up top? Oh no, oh no, oh no! I still have nightmares of the donkey dance! That stuff is scary! I'll leave that to the professionals to do when I am no where around! "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  5. I want to attend that training! "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  6. Hahaha, I will always remember that night! Good times! "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  7. I have been on two small cruises with Carnival and I loved them both! Things that I learned are that the rooms are very small be prepared for that! The rooms usually only have one outlet so if you need to plug in a blowdryer or curling iron or anything like that it is a good idea to bring a power strip. The formal dining room meals you can usually try as many of the options as you want so if you can't decide between two or if you are just hungry get one of each! Good luck and have a great trip! 8. We had a dz babyshower and one of the games that we played was we had the guys race drinking beer from baby bottles... it was kind of fun. But if you do this game you may want to make the hole in the nipple a little bigger... our poor men had to work super hard to get anything out of the bottle! 9. Oh you guys and your Friday jumping! I have told you lately how much I don't like you? "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  10. Thank you so much for sharing, Blair! "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  11. Thank you! Yeah, I will talk to the airline and I have already talked to my vet and was told that she (my vet) may give us some doggy valium to help keep my puppy calm. Thanks, this is all a huge help! "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  12. So I have a 4lb Min-pin puppy and I am supposed to be flying out to Dallas next month. I have heard that you are allowed to bring them as carry-on. I was just looking for any help in planning this. She is my first pet and I don't ever fly commercially so the whole thing is totally new to me. Thanks for the help! 13. Yes, there should be packers... looks like I may be just a tiny bit busy...
  14. I just recently had my puppy spayed. I didn't have to deal with the collar becasue I had her sapyed while I was out of town and she was boarded at the Vet's office. It just worked out best for all of us. Anyway, I agree with whoever said to have the puppy microchipped during the spaying. That is what we did with my puppy. They explained to me that on small puppies the needle they use for microchipping can be so big that it is better to do that while they are under. My puppy also had two baby teeth pulled. I guess that is also common with small dogs. "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  15. We still use the same route, it usually takes about 30 minutes. The toll bridge mentioned above, takes about the same if not longer. "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  16. That's right, the list of sweet, angelic packers... right? "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller

  18. I remember that jump like it just happened. It was one of my favorites because I was able to be there to help one of my closest friends out. Even if it was because of something that was considered bad. The services were very well put together. It is amazing the lives he touched and how he touched them. I knew he played guitar but I didn't know he was in an 80's Hair metal band. It was really very good music. His mother never liked him jumping. In a letter that had to be read by someone else, she addressed the skydivers and said for us to do one more for him. I'm pretty sure the word is in two weeks at Chester. There will be another jump in his honor -so help me God- at Emerald Coast also. Probably more than one. It is my personal mission while I'm there to make that happen. Thank you so much for the update! You know that the Emerald Coast family is willing to help out and we want to help out with any memorial jumps or anything else that we can. Thank you again for sharing all of this, I really wish that I could have made the services. "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  19. Wow, I don't even know where to start... I met Johnny probably five or six years ago. I had just started jumping and I was driving the van for Emerald Coasts beach boogie. I would pick up the jumpers at the beach and take them back to the dz then head back to the beach to pick up more jumpers. I will always remember how Johnny and all of his group was my favorite group to get. They were so grateful and friendly! Through the years I was always excited to get to see him and the reast of the Chester group every year. They are all like extended family that you only get to see once a year. Johnny was by far the sweetest spirit! He was always fun, funny and caring! I'll never forget that first year he insisted that I do a jump with there group. Here I was such a newbie, maybe 20 jumps under my belt, still doing coach jumps, and he insisted that I go on an 8-way with them. It was the high point of my brand new skydiving career! Johnny was just the type of person that treated everyone with respect and care! It didn't matter how well you knew him, you felt like you were a very close friend! I can't imagine the beach boogie without his gentle smile, ocasional jokes and just all around fun and friendly personality! I know that I have spoken with others from our dz and he will be sorely missed by his Emerald Coast family! I also believe that Johnny was a proud member of the Christian Skydivers Assoc. #485. 20. I just got the news this morning, this really tears me up! I can't even type right now! "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  21. How about if I just offer to drive your drunk butt home from the Bamma sometime!
  22. Ashley! I am so glad that you are going to still be here!
  23. Here I am! Looks like I should keep up with dz.com a little better! Bob!!!! I can't wait! This boogie is one of the high points of my year! What is this I hear about TJ and Blair not making it? *Gasp* Don't they know that they are not allowed to opt out of this boogie?! "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." - Helen Keller
  24. Man, what a sad time in our sport! I did not know Danny and I really didn't know Bob. I remember seeing Bob around my home dz when I first started jumping. I will always remember him as someone that everyone highly respected, a safe and knowledgeable skydiver. I also met him again last year at Dublin. Everyone that ever talks about him always has such high respect for him. I am sad that I never got the chance to know him more! I know that our sport as lost a great amount through this accident!
