    C172 exit

Cheers bro, I'll post the photo shortly so you can have a look at how close it was. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

Thanks for that. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    C172 exit

Would like to know what is the best way to exit a 172. Poised or dive? I've had nothing to do with wingsuits but have a new guy - 4000+ skydives - working for us and the vid I got of a poised exit he did, he was uncomfortably close to the tail of the aircraft. Simple answers would be appreciated - I'm just the drogue chucker in the back who doesn't want to fight my way out of an aircraft that has been 'compromised'. Blues. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

  6. If your profile is up to date and you intend to jump it let the flame fest begin. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  7. Done another 2000 jumps -99% of them tandems out of a 172 - since my last post on this thread and the knee is still hanging in there. It did lock up a couple of times for no apparent reason but hasn't played up for at least 2 years. I take glucosamine sulphate (Joint Food) every evening, ride my bicycle to work and try to maintain a certain level of fitness - while drinking way more beer than I really should. No real secret, but I do believe that the Joint Food does help. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

  9. Yep, but you may have to order it that way if you can't find what you want 2nd hand. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  10. Let me get this right, 2600 tandems and 20 reserve rides, a 1 in 130 malfunction rate, with a 10% failure rate or problem on your reserve - your figures. These numbers don't sit comfortably with me. You or the organisation you work for are doing something seriously wrong. For the record I'm 5000+ jumps, 3000+ tandems with one chop & 2000 sports jumps with 3 chops. Anyone else out there that's had such bad luck as TK? 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  11. We had decades of a category called low-pull, no-pull reserve fatalities. *** You are mixing apples with pears here. First you are questioning someones experience because they are not a TI and then you are quoting non tandem incidents to back your position up. Tandems open at 5000+ feet so give more time for the TI to deal with issues. How many tandem low pull / no pull incidents have there been. I can't think of any? 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

  17. Sorry bro, it doesn't look like you are getting too much support out there. With the number of posts you have, I would suggest that you are the one who feels he knows everything, or at least thinks he does. I believe the TI screwed up, and most of the contributors to this thread agree. You come in making a statement that quite frankly, defies logic. Are you trolling? Get over it and move on. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to play with my toy cars & my Lego set. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  18. Been a while since theres been a 'tar n feathering'. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  19. Oh sorry, that was a serious question? My bad. I have an 8 year old son that can ask a more intelligent question than that. Would you care to explain to the injured party to why she's laid up in hospital, having been pounded in under a malfunctioning canopy, when there was a 'perfectly' good reserve there to be used? You don't have to answer that. It's rhetorical.
  20. And if he had chopped and the reserve was a bag lock.... And we had these pictures of him flying this main. What would you say then???? Would your opinion change? If you believe in your statement and have a tandem rating, I suggest that you throw it in the bin. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  21. The fact that it was 'probably landable' means that it wasn't definitely landable. If there is shit happening, move on, and then deal with the hand you've been given. The fact that you have used this as a defence to what happened in the original post means that I question your judgement if you think that what occurred was justified. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  22. Yes, he made a 'judgement call' and on that he will be judged. I think it is fair to say that the judgement made was poor to say the least, and the inevitable happened. No excuses for this in my opinion. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  23. You could look at the Cresco, the PAC750's little brother. Don't know the economics of it though. http://www.aerospace.co.nz/aircraft/cresco/description 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
