To all the TIs out there that crank the MLW of the pax harness in to the max before they jump I'd like to ask why? I understand there are 'special' cases such as big bottomed women where it has its advantages - but for the majority cases, don't you have faith in the fact that how you adjust it on the ground is how you want it in freefall? 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

Are you sure you aren't confusing the rating with the conditions of a work permit. The rating being issued by a Part 149 organisation, and the other issued by NZ immigration. If the rating holder is sponsored by an organisation then they are restricted by law to work at that organisation only. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

If he won't take advice, get him to start wearing a camera. Nothing too fancy, a Gopro should do it. They are strong and should withstand the impact. At least that way we can all get to see the carnage on YouTube. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do. -

Just read this thread from start to finish. Excellent entertainment - reminded me of the 'panic scene' in the movie Airplane where everyone lined up to 'talk' to the woman passenger. My turn now - sorry cuz, the majority is right and you are wrong. Trust you are jumping with a camera so we can all watch the carnage on YouTube. Don't let your ambitions get in the way of your abilities. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

Should it be funny? Or are you seriously? In case 'yes': you may try to make some rip similary to Cypres-2 by your own hands. Without original software of course. If you are novice in software development, you can try to steal Airtec soft. This is easy, isn't it? I'm upset. :( Trolls are everywhere. Even on this forum. Don't lose any sleep over it. A classic example of 'the ugly American' who earns no respect from anyone outside the 'goddamn USA'. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

Recently there was a Vigil 1 that fired on the ground in New Zealand. The unit in question was manufactured in mid 2006 and it had approximately 1800 hundred jumps on it. The battery was replaced less than a year ago. It had a type 3 cutter fitted – which obviously worked – just not when it was supposed to. The unit has been used entirely in ‘tandem’ mode. It was turned on just before midday and used for 1 jump. The main was activated at 5000 feet without complications. The gear was repacked after the jump and was placed in the gear area. The activated reserve was noticed the next day at approx 1030 am. The pilot was in the gear area at 9 am of that day and did not notice the pilot chute and bridle on the floor, so the thought is that it activated between 9 and 1030 am but this cannot be confirmed. The gear was taken away by the DZO and examined by a rigger where it was determined that the cutter had been activated. The unit has been returned to the manufacturer for testing and has been replaced with a Vigil 2 free of charge. I trust that when the reason for this incident is determined that Advanced Aerospace Designs won’t be backward in coming forwards with their findings. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
