    I think that students should wear soft helmets at all times and that all TIs should wear helmets as well. I'm sure there must be photos now of head injuries to TIs out there. Anyone got any to post?

    Wendy for the win. I seem to remember it being described as the "snivel, snivel, snivel, snivel, open on demand (grab the toggles and flare) canopy". I put a dinner plate on my slider and hot knifed a hole into it - that sorted the opening issues. Probably put about 100 jumps on it. It had Kevlar lines and a wicked inbuilt turn to the right to the point it would corkscrew a downplane! 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    I have a issue with this. As an active TI I want my punter to concentrate on the task at hand rather than thinking about that 'rad vid' that they intend to post on youtube! 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    When I started jumping in NZ the average age of a skydiver was around 28 and tandems weren't around. In 3 months I'll hit 50 and the other TI I work with is 48. Both of us intend to keep jumping until we can't anymore Just got me thinking, how old are TIs and are we a statistically aging group? 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    The entire jump looks like a cluster fuck to me! Exit at or below accepted norms. A passenger who is really not in a fit physical state. Downwind landing. No good choices here! 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    Roger - we get 30 mins before sunrise to 30 min after sunset here & we can jump through cloud as well. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    Not sure what the rules are in the US but in NZ it becomes 'night' 30 mins after sunset. Looked fine to me. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
