    True but not true. A Talon made by Rigging Innovations has no 'life' but a Talon made under licence by Parachutes Australia has a life of 20 years. The reserve in my gear was built in the 80s and is still legal.

    I do a skydive today and put some photos up on the screen to find some dickhead taking photos of the photos I have taken. (It's a cessna op with handcam which I take on every load with the option to buy) I tell him that it's theft and ask that he deletes the photos. He says there is no signage to say he can't. I Reply WTF ,it's common f**king sense. Any way it's becoming more and more prevalent. What do you guys do? Vent over 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    Did about 150 jumps there in the 90s. Bloody cold at that time of the year and if they are operating I wouldn't bother! It's expensive and a major hassle if you don't know the language. Great people though![/cool] 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    I ripped my ACL in 1995 and have done 5000 plus jumps without surgery since - no worries. Strap it, lift up the legs and slide it in - should be sweet! 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    Thanks for that. Can you give me a screen shot of the projects properties screen with your recommended settings so I can replicate them. NZ is a PAL country but NTSC works 99% of the time. Cheers. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    I've yet to produce anything - in short I'm a NLE virgin. I've still got my old system running. I shot some footage in 960 30 for a practice run and found I can't get it to a widescreen format. 720 30 seems to work widescreen but not too sure about the quality. The DVDs I've managed to 'create' appear pixelated - and not of good quality. The computer I've bought is well specced and I believe up the job. It's the operater thats the problem I'd like to find settings that work and be able to put out both PAL and NTSC dvds. Cheers, 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    Sorry to rehash old questons. I've done a search and as much reading as I can but I'm a grumpy old bugger being forced into learning old tricks. I've been 'forced' into going digital by 'young buggers' and the 21st century into ditching my old handcam system and going for a NLE approach. I've bought a computer that has 120 gigasquirts of power (plus other goodies) and a gopro hand cam glove with a couple of gopro hero 2s. What settings should I use - both for camera and on the software. Any advice gratefully accepted. Please word replies for dummies. Thanks in advance. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    No real issues - I just leave the back strap loose otherwise it makes it more difficult for the punter to lift their legs on landing. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

    I've got about a 1000 jumps on a Crossfire and have had no problems with off heading openings! However i think you are very much at the low end jump nuber wise to move up to a Crossfire.
