  1. I mean...I didn't get past #1 "Falsely accuse you of what they are in fact doing." How many different examples of that do we have? 1. Accusing HRC of using Clinton Foundation as a pay to play. Trump: Literally using Trump Foundation to channel election money for Trump's campaign and using Trump Foundation to LITERALLY pay $25,000 into the election campaign of a Florida AG who would decide whether to pursue charges regarding Trump University.
  2. While wind and solar are creeping into the spectrum it certainly is natural gas making the most headway and washing coal down the drain. Looking forward remember one aspect of cheap gas this is that there is abundance having gone through a warmer winter and that it's collected as a side product by frackers drilling for crude oil. That's not going to put a big dent in the gas industry but it's something to watch.
  3. That appears to fully encapsulate my beliefs. Sure, there are plenty of elected positions involved in law enforcement but we need to keep the Presidents and Governors out of pursuing action against other politicians.
  4. At the very least all politicians should stay out of it.
  5. The only narrative of this on the news will be that it's a political attack upon a predecessor and an attempt to weaken his party in upcoming elections. Regardless of what's found in the courts Trump will be remembered as corrupt and useless. The danger of pursuing him in courts is that it becomes a political tactic to dig dirt on every politician and their supporting staff each time there's a change in party.
  6. I'm curious what is you think Sub-Saharan Africa is doing that achieves your point of simultaneous low emissions, quality of life and an advanced economy. You do a bad job of "owning libtards".
  7. I know we're just talking but I'm hoping we can break the cycle of one President or political party spending their time getting political retribution the the previous. It may be painful but Trump is a good place to start.
  8. This is always a good one.
  9. I like this bit: "The head of the town said he had reprimanded those responsible and ordered the removal of the paint from the snow hill."
  10. Another example of a country with no regard for human health. You're getting good at pointing out how it's typically desperate 2nd and 3rd world countries who are expanding their use of coal.

    Reminds me of this:

    covid-19

Right now I haven't looked that up to check for validity or context and I feel like I'm in one of those moments where you're happy but your family hasn't told you yet that your dog has died. They want to let you be happy for a few more moments more because the next few moments will will be sad. It's a very sad day when the leader of America says something that remarkably stupid.

I think we're putting more work into figuring out how Wuhan will do this than Wuhan is.
  14. Put it this way, it took a war in which over 620,000 men died because we couldn't agree that the economy was less important than enslaving humans. That should've been an easy one. Most other countries settled it with no real bloodshed.

I would be more optimistic if we said the Chick Fil-A staff was doing testing.
  16. We didn't. There was a 1.58ppm rise. It's one of the lower ones in recent years, but still an increase.

You're getting ahead of the quotes and missing the context.
  18. I meant to say "He" instead of "We" in the sentence "We will not give a shit about ". That branch of the government is going to be a fucking zoo. Trump has done nothing but burn everyone around him the moment they show the faintest sign of total devotion. I wonder if it'll be a mad dash for the door or if he'll just burn the whole place down around himself and Steven Miller. Images from "Downfall" come to mind as his helpless syncopates surround him during his tirades. Or he'll just say "fuck it" and go golfing for three months in Florida.
  19. Can you imagine what the Whitehouse will be like from Nov-Jan if Trump loses? HE (Edited from "we") will not give a shit about the outcome of anything he does and will be surrounded by people who no longer want to risk their careers just to be replaced in a few months. I'm going to guess he spends most of the time claiming the vote was illegal and poisoning the well for Biden any way he can.

"For all you know" is all we all know. The article just says they found new cases and they have 10 days to test 11 million people. That's not enough to base any argument upon except speculation. Let's just say it's OK to speculate. But yes, they said that yesterday. They didn't say the clock would start yesterday but they also didn't say it would start a month from now, they just said "District health commissions and neighborhood committees" must figure it out and have it done in 10 days.

Guys. Take a step back a second. This isn't something that's been prepared and all anyone here knows is exactly what was in that single article, that at a drop of a hat the "District health commissions and neighborhood committees" were told that they have 10 days to complete 11 million tests. The clock started yesterday. I simply have my doubts that a 11 million person testing program can be instantly ramped up and completed in 10 days. They don't have instant access to 3.5 million doctors and all the materials needed to perform this work.

You're right. I get all of that. I'm not sure why this is an argumentative topic because it seems like something that China is bragging that they're going to do so sure, let's let them do that and see how it goes. My guess is that regardless of what they do they'll said they did it. An election is something that takes months of preparation in a fully functioning society in which people know exactly where to go and what to do. China hasn't shown this type of capability except at gunpoint. I know nothing about their current capabilities but the article says simply that "District health commissions and neighborhood committees" have been given 10 days to carry out the tests. No preparation, no statments that the testing centers are ready for this, just "10 days to get 11 million people tested". There's a lot of ambivalence in that statement. In comparison our own "testing czar" says the entirety of the US could ramp up to 1.3 to 1.7 million tests per day by September.
  23. Yes, and in their words they said we wouldn't see a drop in CO2 from this.
