Do you not have the remotest idea of the link between Iran and international terrorism/middle east conflict over the past 30 years? Have you never heard of Hezbollah? Go online, hit the books, whatever, but educate yourself on the subject. It's pretty similar to the link between the US and various other factions in the area, except that the US also has the temerity to go in and fuck things up under her own flag as well. There are no good guys in that region, only varying degrees of assholes. The assholes in Iran seem less dangerous than the assholes in Israel, Saudi, or most of the other countries, though. cavete terrae.

    As an ardent supporter of modern nuclear power, I always thought it's ridiculous that anyone would expect someone to develop nuclear power plants but demand they not do fuel enrichment/reprocessing themselves. Just because we (the US) are fucking idiots and run our shit incorrectly doesn't mean everyone else should have to. Hopefully Iran uses this opportunity to set up a nice stable environment with clean power output and efficient fuel recycling and reuse. Hopefully Israel calm their collective tits and quit sword rattling like children. cavete terrae.

    My girlfriend and I will be going to my father's house and the three of us (all Americans) will be introducing my stepmother to the wonder of Thanksgiving dinner. I'll be working during the day though as it's not a holiday here, or even noticed by anyone except expats. Friday I'll work. Saturday and Sunday I'll be jumping at the coastal DZ that is run by the same DZO as my home DZ, we're bringing the Caravan down there and allowing a small contingent of fun jumpers instead of just tandems cavete terrae.

    If the sticky tape is attached correctly you have zero change of removing it by hand in case of a snag. I've removed those tapes and I've always had to use tools and significant amount of force to get them off. Maybe YOU have zero chance. When I got my new helmet and was retiring my old one for all intents and purposes, I decided to see how much force it'd take to tear it off. I put the camera into the mount, put the helmet on my head, and reached up to tear it off. I'm not gonna say it was like opening a can of coke but it wasn't like trying to lift an SUV, either. If you try and pull straight off you might not succeed, but I went to the side and it wasn't really that big of a deal. cavete terrae.

Our support of Israel gets us a lot of hatred that we could do without. Yeah, it got us a lot of hate from the very people who hate us anyway regardless of Israel.     I normally carry a water bottle of 100LL in my Citabria just so I can dump it and feel like a real pilot in case of an emergency. THAT'S what those bottles are for?? I thought they were for the long cross countries... Guess ya learn something new every day. OK, I'll admit it, I've dumped pee out of a Citabria. I thought about peeing under canopy once during a cross country, but realised my airspeed would make it hit me. Phew. cavete terrae.

    Our relationship with Israel is neither, unless it's a VERY bad business deal for us. They take and take and take, and it earns us the animosity of others in the region with whom a relationship would be much more useful. The best way to describe our relationship with Israel is like a shit-talking little guy in Compton who has a big cousin outside if town that he steals from, takes money from, and makes come to the neighborhood and do a lot of his dirty work. Then everyone starts hating the big cousin and the benefit of this is, well, nothing. cavete terrae.

    Hate them/love them, Israel is our our only friend in the Middle East. Were their destruction to happen, no doubt a lot of people will dance like they danced around the world for 9/11. After all, it's about one inch at a time. It's a pretty one-sided relationship. Our "friendship" with them, and I use that term loosely, costs us far more than it gains us. cavete terrae.

    The fault in the logic is simple. Iran is a defacto unstable Regime. If people that are not worried about retaliation(since they will go to heaven) have nuclear weapon capability. The whole stand off argument falls to pieces. Further, I can't remember an Israeli or US president denying Irans right to existence. So much for aggression. Not all countries are the same... And not all countries can be treated the same. Well, let's tally a list of wars where Iran was the aggressor in the last 100 years: Ok, now that we've done that, let's consider your claim that Iran denied Israel's right to exist. If you're referring to the "wiped off the face of the map" thing, it's been pretty well shown that this was not a great translation. And even if it weren't? I judge on actions, not words. In terms of actions, Israeli and US governments are a bunch of fucking douchebags. cavete terrae.
