Disagree. I love farflung's posts, and I reckon he could make money out of his writing. Not a huge Kinky fan personally to be honest. I'd rather compare farflung to Jeremy Clarkson, who you guys may or may not know. In fact farflung's description of his troubles in Holland could just as easily have been penned by Clarkson! Farflung, i have no opinion on your hunkiness, but please keep on with the posts! Mr. orange you surely jest. Farflung is about as funny IMHO as a colostomy. Some of you really think his posts are amusing? I just puked in my mouth slightly just thinking of his "hunkiness".

I agree 100%.

Jo, I hope someday you find answers to all your questions. You must be a saint to have lived through such a web of mystery without losing your mind. Good luck with your endeavors.

After reading a lot of the posts on here espicially the last 6 months I've come to the conclusion that JT is full of misguided anger. Take it easy Jerry. Jo and Blevins have done their respective homework and each believe their man is Cooper. with all the mis-steps and corruption regarding the FBI and their lab it's a wonder that they can rule anyone out or in. so please stay off their asses, report your facts and........CALM DOWN!
-
Damn Jerry, are you a tad bit grouchy tonite?

Where is Mr. Blonde?

Has anyone noticed that Taco has yet to answer any of my questions?

Orange is right. DBC can be prosecuted today because he was indicted (as a John Doe) before the SOL cutoff date. If he had accomplices they are not. SOL has run out. This is one legal theory and is why it was reckless for the actor / supposed former prosecutor / attorney to be dispensing legal advice to KC's supposed accomplice on the History Channel's Detector's Show. Believe me - if the Government finds this guy he will be prosecuted. This is a federal crime and we are talking U.S. Attorneys not some schmuck State's Attorney or DA. I have heard there is yet another suspect to come out / being looked at in addition to LD Cooper. Things are moving. Jo's copyright notices bug me too, but no worries. They are defective. This forum should confirm to the anarchistic legal standards associated with DZs. No liability, everything is waived, lawyers can jump, but can't practice their trade outside of dispensing free advice to fellow jumpers on how to beat spousal support modification motions. 377 Taco? Where are you hearing these things? You act like you're in the kow yet you refuse to answer my questions.

I am officially done reading Farflung's post. He is either mentally challenged or on some sort of mind altering chemicals.
-
You don't know me.
-
Taco, exactly how do you know these things you claim?
-
Doesn't sound like they are pushing it. No DNA match.
-
I've read a lot but not all of the 1019 pages. Can anyone narrow it down a bit for me?
-
Jo, would it be too much to ask that you present solid evidence via scanner or pictures?

Trying to sell books...........

I'm not FBI Jo. Calm down. I just assumed most intelligent posters on here would realize I was quoting Wikipedia and then asking you a follow up question. I normally do not quote Wikipedia unless the information has credible legs....such as the FBI website Quotehttp://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2007/december/dbcooper_123107

The FBI eliminated Weber as a suspect in July 1998 when his fingerprints did not match any of those processed in the hijacked plane, and no other direct evidence could be found to implicate him. Later, his DNA also failed to match the partial sample recovered from Cooper's tie in October 2007. Jo, how do you explain this?
-
You would think the FBI would have tracked down LD Cooper's other relatives in order to gain more evidence.

As the kind folks at Dropzone have pointed out to me time and again: Claims require proof. Otherwise the niece and the mother are just like the people in this scene from the classic film: http://youtu.be/-8h_v_our_Q (Substitute the word 'Cooper' for the famous phrase and there you go) Spartacus? Really Blevins? Regardless, the mother did have a little to ad during the Nightline piece. Basically backing the niece up. All of the usual parameters apply: Physical evidence, circumstantial evidence, documentary evidence, testimony from people other than family members, possible parachute experience, direct witness testimony...etc. Family members' testimony is to be viewed as extremely suspect without solid corroborating evidence. Why? Because they stand to gain if that family member were named as Cooper. It's not a problem if a family member comes forward, but it IS a problem if they come forward with nothing more than 'because I say so'. In the case of Lyle Christiansen, the brother of Kenny Christiansen, there were two things I did. First, I didn't rely on his testimony to build a case against Kenny. Second, I asked him to sign a contract that gave him absolutely zero in exchange for full cooperation to AB of Seattle. This was the only way I would even work with him, because it helps establish credibility. The testimony of family members can open the door, but then real evidence must exist on the other side of the door, otherwise the word of the family member(s) is useless. And where is this credible evidence? FYI: These women say that their suspect was in the military. If so, his fingerprints are already on file. The US Army has been fingerprinting inductees since about 1908. Arrest records? Parachute experience? Is there anything? Otherwise, the hokey Spartacus reference holds true. I never said that I believe Marla Cooper. I suggested that the evidence or lack thereof will tell the story in the long run. Speaking of evidence...Was any of the money KC gave away(or used to purchase his home) ever identified as Cooper's ransom? Wasn't that the idea of the government documenting the serial numbers?QuoteQuote

That's a little hokey. Anyway, this Marla Cooper seems to be building steam and from my experiance with law enforcement you never want to dismiss anything unless you have credible evidence one way or the other.

You entered this thread on the 3rd of August and you have NOT read the 1000's of posts that I have made over the yrs. When you do then you can judge me, until then you need to be at least polite. When you have walked in my step for 15 yrs then you can judge me. You have never met me nor do you know what I have been through in my search and my research. What I say here may not be agreed on by everyone, but you know nothing about me. You need to reserve your derogatory comments as "disgusting" is a very strong word and insulting. This thread has tried to discuss Cooper in an orderly fashion - not by name calling. We try to be polite and most of the times kind in our derogator posts about others. Name calling is unnessary. What I have done is point out a large flaw in the FBI system be it an error as 377 states or a deliberate diversion. The FBI at least needs to consider the circumstances under which they made their claim when they used the McNeil File prints to disqualify Weber and the in March of 2000 tell me Weber had never been in Mc Neil. Which came first the Chicken or the Egg? That is the question the FBI should answer regarding the prints use for Weber. Go back and read the posts that Ckret made (that was Larry Carr the FBI Agent). He clearly states the McNeil prints were used in regards to Weber and that those prints are what is in the central system. His making a statement that inferred the McNeil prints are what disqualified Weber and then the fact that another Agent whose name I do not remember at this moment - told me in 2000 that Duane was NOT in McNeil. I ask the FBI to clarify this and to use prints from Canon or Jefferson. They have not done so at this point. I assume you think I am trash of some sort from your statement and I take that as a personal attack on my character. I DID not know my husband was a 5 time FELON until after I contacted the FBI. Gullible maybe, but not disgusting - that word is just not acceptable. I am anything but disgusting. A personal attack such as the one you made is disgusting and unnessary. Posts like that are not looked at too kindly by 90 percent of the DZ population. We often get into heated discussion - and we have to RAISE our voice to get thing over. If I do NOT make sense to you then you have NOT read all of the thread nor have you ever spoke with me personally. I ramble and why am hard to follow. I know what I held in my hand and when I slightly opened the bag and then asked Duane about when he got back in the van - and told it wasn't important just an old bank bag from a bank in WA. I just figured it was something he had obtained in one of his storage purchases (unpaid lockers). The stub I held in my hand was also during this same time period in 1990. The ticket would not surface until 1994 in one of the 1990 Tax box from our shop. It would then surface a few wks latter and I never saw it again. I just watched this woman on a TV program - these people are looking for money and a book as the woman as already been quoted as saying she is writing a book. Everything he has stated she has taken from this thread. Back in 1971 - the Dan Cooper Comics had never came into play. This idea was introduced in this thread by our Snowmman and then it became part of the Cooper story. Please hold your judgement until the FBI has a match on prints and DNA. I just saw a moment ago the first picture I have seen of this man. I am surprised the family does NOT have better pictures of him....and perhaps they do but are not bringing them forward because it would then make their efforts seem forged. Are you aware of the OTHER composites? If not then you need to review them. So you watched Nightline tonite uh Jo?

Nightline showed the niece's mother being interviewed. She's on board.

Really? A man named Cooper uses his own surname? I guess I'm fresh meat too, although I've been a long time reader.
