I did my first jumps when they were still out at Warren County and finished my license when they relocated to Middletown. I gotta say they completely transformed me from a nervous, sketchy novice, to a confident skydiver. All of the instructors and coaches are all amazing. I remember my turning point was when Niklas had me come out first thing in the morning and within 5 minutes I was on the plane (it was only me and him) right as a storm was rolling in. Staff is as personable as they are experienced. The even instructors remembered me after I hadn't been around for over 5 months, and I know how many people they see daily.
Facility is top notch. John runs a great DZ. Its clean, plenty of tables, huge packing area, awesome manifest, etc. The aircraft are great, usually got the caravan out, but they have a twin otter, a 206, and even a hot air balloon sometimes.
So whether you are experienced, just learning, or only wanting to try it out, StartSkyDiving is a great place to experience one of life's greatest opportunities.
I am sad that I no longer will be able to frequent this DZ, as I joined the Air Force and am now in Missouri. So I'll have to be hittin up Skydive Kansas City, but you bet I'll be back to StartSkyDiving for a day of fun when I get the chance to come home. To the guys at Start just keep doing what your doing and I'll see you all again someday.
