  1. I'd have to say Otter. The Cessna hasn't flown in years. 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  2. Assuming you mean that SDH has helped and encouraged all wing suit fliers, there is no argument. You have. However, your current rule regarding low exit vs. no exit neither helps nor encourages any wing suit flier. Do you mean 4 different times? Every time an instructor, video dude has said something to Jenn she took action and followed through. Hey, whatever happened to that go around/180 rule? Do you mean the meetings where I present my case in a clear and concise manner, with supporting facts? This reminds me of when FF's started at SDH and there was a big deal about exit order, (winds ff out last, no winds out first, define wind?). Plenty of confusion and close sightings until the DZO said "Here it is RW, FF." that was that. We learned how to deal with it and over time it has become practicly a non-issue. Hopefully you will rethink this rule and work with Jenn to find the best way to safely accommodate both tandoms and wing suits on the same load. Until then we are forced to jump elsewhere. Cheers. 3. Worth every penny. Blue Skies. Larry 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  4. Agreed. Even smaller DZ's where we think we know everybody. SUCKS! Hope you get your stuff back. Larry 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  5. Staff meeting ?? 1 - AFF/Tandom/S&TA 1 - AFF/S&TA 2 - Tandom/Video 1 - DZM This is the staff present when Jenn & I arrived. My best guess is that this rule was arrived at by the DZM and the AFF/Tandom/S&TA to which rules do not apply. FUCK EM! Cheers. Larry 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  6. The video station, (that's been at Waller the last 9 years), and all associated pics & stoopid stuff, I packed up before we left on Saturday. Guess we can drink some holes for the Rosharon crowd now that the circle will be complete once again.
  7. And I'm sorry I didn't congratulate Jenn on her 15-o-fame. Congrats! And nice picture Perry. 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  8. Hi Walt. We were there yesterday and jumped.
  9. No. Although judging by your wingloading vs canopy size I'm pretty sure you could take him. Nothing to do but wait. Fortuantly, we have three other DZs, all turbine, within 2 hours happy to accommodate us, so we can't whine too much. You jumping in MI yet? Cheers. Larry 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  10. Yup, That's what my profile reads now. And what a shame since I've called it home since 1994. Oh well, other DZs, other aircraft. And I'm sure I'll see those that continue to call it home on occasions elsewhere. Why? No Wingsuits Allowed 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  11. well now they are. whoops! See ya Friday.
  12. Cool. Kudos to ya'll for the bitch'in ash dives. Blue Skies Don. Larry 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  13. Wait till you actually ride in it. You pretty much need to be suited up and ready to jump when you load.
  14. I'm quite sure you can put SD Houston back on the list. (no I'm not putting a team together). Cheers. -- 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  15. If that's your criteria, we need to ban rigs at DZs. Turns out some people skydive stoned or drunk so we need to punish everyone. -- 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  16. As an instructor for 8 yrs, I constantly sometimes wonder how a person can NOT GET what I've been telling them for the last x number of jumps. And then I love it when they finally go 'Click'. Well, Bless MoonGlo's heart for her patience, but I believe I finally 'Clicked' Saturday. Hey, that leg wing shouldn't be flopping around like that, use it to help de-arch! Saaaaaayy, that makes a difference in the forward speed.
  17. As long as you have a properly completed proficiency card, or 'Gold Card', it should be no problem getting the 'A' license stamp. If you don't already know, sorry, this card is included in the back of the SIM and list all the requirements that must be signed off by an AFFI, and once completed and stamped, becomes your temporary license. Please do not consider it your 'Go out and be stupid license'. (standard speech. ) Edited to add: Oh yeah, this is assuming you're in the States. Whoops. Cheers Larry -- 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  18. Is that what that was? I just thought it was an odd looking thing to hang gear on. Anybody know Billy Whitiker's (sp?) email??? email went out yesterday. Big Ways or Smaller at SSM's Halloween thing. Perry Perkins has offered his in-air activity coordination skills so we may have a few groups going, depending on response numbers and skill levels. Lemme know if you have Billy's email. Thanks. Larry -- 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  19. Hey Todd & Kathy. Ditto Clint on that. Thanks for another great weekend. Did a few skydives. Drank a few beers, listened to the band, talked to a bunch of people. Still trying to figure out who the video dude was that showed up with the low group on the zoo SCR attempt (low group = 138mph, high group = 109mph). Funny that when he showed up the 20 somthing jumps guy was trying to figure out who he was, where he came from, etc.. , while the 2800 something jumps guy said "HEY video! GEEEEEK".
  20. DING - DING - DING !!! We have a winner!!! -- 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  21. and yet here you are. Cheers Larry -- 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  22. I did my 1st (and 2nd) SL jumps at GLS in October 1993. Dennis taught the class, and was on the radio both times I jumped. I always tried to visit for a jump when in MI. My heart felt condolences to his family and friends. Blue Skies Dennis, and thank you. Larry Hinson D19251/AFFI --
  23. Must be the name. -- 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  24. There is a pool, so Friday night pool party at Super8. Sat. night pool party at Rich's. Still a few slots left as of this morning. Oh yeah, and my list isn't 20 anymore. Cheers. Larry 'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.' Mr. Spock
  25. Not sure of the exact numbers, never can be until Fri. night and even then it's subject to change. Looks like 3 teams of no less than 16 on Saturday. I'm not sure about Sunday's numbers. If anyone decides thay want to play, come on.
