At terminal its almost impossible to hang onto someone during deployment. And also you'd most likely be under canopy when you noticed this leaving you helpless.. -

We got a C-206 (i think thats it) And a Nomad. The Nomad rocks...lotsa room and real fast to altitude Used to have an Islander as well but it died of a corroded wing

I can get by in French but the conversation is veryyy slow and requires many hand jestures and repetition of words I can also speak a little Russian but most of those comments would result in being beaten up/slaped in the face

I've heard a few stories of such things happening to camera flyers. Apparently a dude did this at our DZ. He was just checking to see his alti was zero'd lots of times...scary shit... I'm told when he realised he retreated sheepishly back into the hanger As dangerous as it is..as long as you never made it on the plane your never gonna live that one down. Its coming out every 5 minutes i'm bettin... -
I heard you always get hosed on the spot at DZ moon. Something about the GPS being made for another planet.....

Sorry i don't know much about all of the differnt types of alti's etc. but when you get your new alti cut out a circle of that clear contact stuff and stick it on the screen. Then the screen doesn't get scratched the contact does so when the contacts looking a little worse for wear just put on a new piece and your alti looks as good as new

Hybrid cars rock!! Not that i've ever been in or even seen one but the idea's damn good in theory! Probably more then you'd wanna spend though...there like 60 grand (Australian) here so that's what 30 grand there?

About 50km one way....an hours drive..sometimes a little less. And a pretty fun hour it is..my dad just got a new car and he insists on taking the racers line on every corner Record is about a minute to the pizza place bout a kilometer away

Thats what i'd do. Tandems gotta be open by 4 grand and ur gotta be open by 2 so you should easy make it down before them. Them you get the best of both worlds...before..and after..
