Star Crest Skydiving Awards : Skydive Arizona vs Skydive Elsinore February 15 What's more fun than some friendly competition between two World Class Drop Zones. Let the SCS Awards Game begin, between Skydive Arizona and Skydive Elsinore. Free Event, Here’s the low down: The Star Crest Recipient (SCR) must free fly the exit (no grips) and must participate in a free fall formation involving 8 or more skydivers held together for a minimum of 5 seconds. Yes, this is a fancy speed star! No more than one-half (but not necessarily any) of the formation may fly belly to earth. The final formation must be held together for a minimum of 5 seconds. The Vertical Star Crest Solo (VSCS) recipient must participate in a VSCR qualifying skydive, no grips on exit, dock as 8th or later and not dock belly to earth. After the candidate docks, the formation must be held together for a minimum of 5 seconds. Both drop zones will start their clocks from wheels up and clock will run throughout the day. untilThis is the Nationals for beginning skydivers. All rookie skydivers from any dropzone are welcome to participate in this 3-way scrambles style competition. Teams change each round based on a random draw, but will always include one experienced ‘coach’ (members from SDC Rhythm XP, SDC Core, Rook Nelson and more!). Scores will be judged by an officially rated judge and prizes are awarded to the top three individuals. The winner will take home a Rookiefest Trophy that will give the DZ bragging rights that they produce the best students! We invite jumpers from all dropzones to participate. At the end of the first day join us for a brief seminar on topics that cover gear, canopy, exits, safety, competitive skydiving, formation skydiving and more! In the evening come to our famous Tiki bar to enjoy dinner and drinks. To be eligible to participate you must have met the following requirements as of September 2020 (so as long as you would have been eligible to compete last year you can participate this year): Rookie skydivers can participate in up to 2 Rookiefest Competitions, provided they meet either of these criteria: • Less than 200 total jumps OR • Less than 2 years in the sport as a Rookie Registration now open! https://bookings.burblesoft.com/index/27/211 Also fill out the google form HERE so we can ensure appropriate gear and coach match-ups!
